Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines with high-pressure pump (1), the working chamber (9) of which can be connected on the intake side to a fuel tank (15) via a supply pipe (13) and on the pressure side to a high-pressure manifold (21) via a high-pressure line (19), from which a plurality of injection pipes (23) runs to the individual injection valves (25), and with a pressure valve in the supply pipe (13) and the high-pressure pipe (19), via which the back-flow of fuel from the working chamber (9) into the supply pipe (13) and from the high-pressure pipe (19) into the working chamber (9) is prevented. Here, the pressure valves in the supply pipe (13) and the high-pressure pipe (19) are fitted in a shared compact valve unit (11).

Abstract: Es wird eine Kraftstoffeinspritzvorrichtung fur Brennkraftmaschinen vorgeschlagen, bei der ein Kraftstoffeinspritzventil (1) durch den Druck in einem Druckraum (9), der auf eine Druckschulter (16) wirkt, in seiner Offnungs- und Schliesbewegung gesteuert wird. Die Druckzufuhr zum Druckraum (9) wird durch ein Steuerventilglied (23) gesteuert, das wiederum durch einen Druck in einem Arbeitsraum (31) bewegt wird. Der Druck im Arbeitsraum (31) wird durch ein Vorsteuerventil (55) gesteuert, das einen Schlieskorper (56) aufweist, der unter Einwirkung eines Piezoantriebs (73) von einem zweiten Ventilsitz (64) zu einem ersten Ventilsitz (60) bewegt wird und dabei eine Entlastungsleitung (50) des Arbeitsraumes (31) kurzzeitig offnet. Das hat ein Offnen des Steuerventilglieds (23) und eine Zufuhr von Kraftstoffhochdruck zum Druckraum (9) zwecks Einspritzung zur Folge. Dabei ergibt sich eine sehr kleine Voreinspritzmenge. Fur die Durchfuhrung einer Haupteinspritzmenge wird der Schlieskorper (56) in eine Mittelstellung zwischen den Ventilsitzen (64, 60) positioniert und somit eine langere Verbindung des Kraftstoffhochdruckzuflusses zum Druckraum (9) hergestellt.

Abstract: The unit has a pump unit (2) for building up an injection pressure and for injecting the fuel by way of an injection nozzle (3) into the combustion chamber. A control unit (4) has a control valve (5) formed as an A-valve which opens outwards, with a valve actuating unit (6) controlling the buildup of pressure in the pump unit being formed from a piezoelectric actuator. The valve and piezo actuator may be connected by a hydraulic translation arrangement (14) which converts downward movement of the actuator into upward movement of the valve with a selectable transmission ratio. The hydraulic translation arrangement also acts as a thermal compensating element between the different materials of the actuator and the valve. An Independent claim is included for a method of controlling the buildup of pressure in a pump unit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injection device (1) comprising an injection valve (9), a line (5), which supplies fuel under high pressure to the injection valve (9) during operation, a control valve (41), which controls the pressure in a control chamber (43) of the injection valve, this control chamber being connected to said line (5), and the moving valve part (51) of the control valve can be actuated by an actuator (31) via a hydraulic coupler (38), which has two plungers (39, 40) that interact with a coupler volume of the coupler. The injection valve also comprises means for filling the coupler volume with pressurized fuel via guide gaps (65, 67) of the plungers (39, 40), whereby the plungers (39, 40) are placed inside one another while being parallel to one another. A translator space (72) is placed at the ends of the plungers (39, 20, 40), said ends facing the actuator (31). A filling space (71-2) is provided inside the outer plunger (39) and is connected to said line (5). One of the plungers (39) is mechanically coupled to the actuator (31) via a rod (61), and the other plunger (40) actuates the control valve (41) via a rod (63), whereby the direction of the closing movement of the moving valve part (51) matches the direction of fuel flowing out of the control chamber (43) so that the control valve is subjected, at least in part, to an equilibrium of forces due to the force acting upon the other plunger (40) inside the translator space (72).

Abstract: A communication system includes a plurality of recipient processors (14, 15, 16) located at geographically remote locations with respect to each other and connected for communication with an information provider processor (12), over the communications network. The provider (12) and recipient processors (14, 15, 16) may comprise respective computers coupled for communication on the Internet or WWW. The provider processor is capable of providing information from any suitable source, by communicating such information over a communications network. However, access to the information by the recipient processors is controlled, based on the geographic location or region of the recipient processors. Each recipient processor is operably associated with a positioning system for providing geographic location information corresponding to the location or region in which the positioning system is located, such as a global positioning system GPS (20, 21, 22). The geographic position information is used to determine whether or not the processor requesting the information is within a restricted or non-restricted region.

Abstract: A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine including a fuel injector which can be subjected to fuel at high pressure and is actuatable via a metering valve device by which the pressure in a pressure booster control chamber is controllable such that the pressure in a pressure booster pressure chamber, defined by a pressure booster piston, that can be filled with fuel from the high-pressure fuel source via a filling path in which a check valve is disposed and that is in communication with an injection valve member pressure chamber, is increased by the pressure booster piston such that an injection valve member opens for injecting fuel, whereupon fuel is positively displaced out of a damping chamber via a damping path, in which a damping throttle is disposed. To assure stable injection performance, the damping path is embodied such and connected in such a way to the filling path that the fuel positively displaced from the damping chamber via the damping throttle in an injection event reaches the filling path of the pressure booster pressure chamber via the damping path.

In der Ventilhohlnadel (15) ist eine Ventilnadel (17) angeordnet, die mit einer inneren Ventildichtflache (32) mit dem inneren Ventilsitz (207) zur Steuerung der wenigstens einen inneren Einspritzoffnungen (12) zusammenwirkt, wobei die Offnungswinkel (a; b) des inneren Ventilsitzes (207) und des auseren Ventilsitzes (107) verschieden sind.

Abstract: Between a movable core chamber and a fuel supply passage, a needle guide slidably supports a needle fixed to a movable core. The needle guide has a communication hole which fluidly connects the movable core chamber and the fuel supply passage. An opening sectional area of the communication hole is defined in such a manner that a fuel discharged amount decreases as an energization start time of a coil is delayed. In a suction stroke, it is restricted that the movable core and the needle bounce toward the fixed core after the needle biases a suction valve toward a stopper by means of a biasing force of a second spring. A relationship between the energization start time of the coil and the fuel discharged amount is properly maintained, so that the fuel discharged amount of the high-pressure pump can be controlled correctly.

A slit-type flow outlet (35), through which a fuel spray can be discharged in a fan-type jet, is formed between the slit-forming element (30) and a front face (34) of the valve seat body (16).
