Abstract: Desa Mororejo memiliki kawasan mangrove yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengoptimalisasi adalah dengan menjadikan kawasan ekowisata. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Agustus-November 2014 yang dilakukan melalui survei yang dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan pengamatan kondisi fisik kimia dan biologi kawasan, inventarisasi keanekaragaman fauna, analisis vegetasi, serta pengambilan data persepsi masyarakat lokal. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kesesuaian wisata mangrove dan analisis SWOT (Strengths–Weakness–Opportunity–Treats). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kawasan mangrove Desa Mororejo didominasi oleh tiga jenis mangrove yaitu Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, dan Avicennia marina. Fauna yang ditemukan antara lain burung, ikan, dan crustacea. Indeks kesesuaian untuk kegiatan wisata mangrove termasuk kategori sesuai bersyarat (63.24%). Strategi alternatif pengelolaan ekowisata mangrove yang diprioritaskan meliputi: melibatkan masyarakat lokal dalam kegiatan ekowisata (skor 2,834); meningkatkan peran serta Dinas terkait (skor 2.517); dan adanya zonasi wilayah supaya tidak terjadi gesekan dengan berbagai pihak (skor 2.25). Mangrove areas at Mororejo village have not been optimally utilized. One effort to accelerate the optimalization of the area is by empowering its ecotourism. The study was conducted in August-November 2014 using a survey method, inventory of assorted fauna, vegetation analysis, and data collection of local community perception. Data analysis was conducted by feasibility analysis and SWOT (Strengths–Weakness–Opportunity–Treats) analysis to determine the alternatives strategy in exploring the potency of eco-tourism. Based on the result of this study, mangrove areas in Mororejo were dominated by three types of mangrove, i.e. Rhizopora mucronata, Rhizopora stylosa, and Avicennia marina. Fauna found in the areas were birds, fish, and crustacean. Feasibility index for mangrove tourism at mangrove areas at Mororejo village fell to category of conditionally feasible (63.24%). The alternative strategy in managing mangrove ecotourism at Mororejo village should involve the local community in handling ecotourism activities such as fishing activitity, birdwatching, and mangrove conservation (score 2.83); and also empower the related department (score 2.52), and zonation based areas should be implemented, therefore horizontal conflict could be avoided (score 2.25).

Abstract: The increasing in quantity of the tourists visiting Telaga Warna Telaga Pengilon Nature Park, Dieng Plateau, Central Java, can cause a potential threat toward the conservation sustainability of the tourist attraction and the surrounding area. The utilization of conservation area for tourist attraction has to be carried out based on the principal of Environmental Carrying Capacity so that it will not affect the ecosystem. This study aims to determine the value of Telaga Warna Telaga Pengilon Nature Park environmental carrying capacity as a conservation area used for tourism activities. The environmental carrying capacities calculated in this study were physical carrying capacity, real carrying capacity, and effective carrying capacity. Results of this research show that the physical carrying capacity of The Telaga Warna Telaga Pengilon Nature Park was 31,302 visitors, the real capacity was 869 visitors/day and the effective carrying capacity was 579 visitors/day. Thus, the sustainable tourism development strategy is needed to manage the everlasting natural resources.

Abstract: Growth in tourist arrivals at ecotourism mangrove in Blanakan can cause a threat to the preservation of conservation areas and tourist attraction. This happens when the utilization of the region exceeds its carrying capacity. The aims of This study to identify the carrying capacity of ecotourism mangrove in Blanakan as conservation areas are used for tourism activities. The results showed that the carrying capacity the ecotourism mangrove in Blanakan is 425 visitors per day. Pollution load simulation results showed that ecotourism mangrove Blanakan had suffered pollution by phosphate, ammonia pollution carrying capacity will be passed in 2019 and organic waste in the year 2011 to 2013, while nitrate and garbage until the year 2032 has not been exceeded. Abstract: Potentiodynamic polarization was used to studied the corrosion properties of SAC305 solder in different solution of 1.0 M HCl and 3.5 wt.% NaCl using the same scanning rate of 1.0 mV/s. The polarization curves indicated that corrosion in NaCl was less severe than in HCl solution based on corrosion current and passivation behavior obtained. Morphology and phases obtained after corrosion using SEM and XRD were analyzed. Microstructure analysis shows the present of compact corrosion product with presence of larger flake for polarization in NaCl compared to HCl. Phases present in XRD analysis confirmed the present of SnO and SnO2 corrosion product for sample from both solutions.

Abstract: An analysis of the role of mangrove ecosystems in tourism was undertaken in order to build a strategy for mangrove conservation and conceptualize sustainable mangrove-based tourism development in East Java, Indonesia. The results of the present study suggest that mangroves could be used as nature-based tourism destinations. While tourism in mangrove areas in East Java clearly contributes to mangrove conservation, it still lacks a mangrove tour program, in which it is important to deliver the objectives of ecotourism. For the sustainable use of mangrove biodiversity as a tourist attraction, it is essential to know the basic characteristics of mangroves and establish mangrove tourism programs which are able to support a conservation program. It is also crucial to involve and strengthen the participation of local communities surrounding mangrove areas. The involvement of local wisdom could increase the sustainability of mangrove ecosystems.

Abstract: This article aims to describe the mangrove forest utilization for sustainable livelihood through a community-based ecotourism approach. This research conduct in Kao Village, North Halmahera District of Indonesia. This study was done in a qualitative method using a life-history approach. The data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. The data were analyzed using a triangulation method to obtain credible information. These research findings show that cultural value, known as Higaro was able to mobilize the capability to access resources such as natural and social capital. In its development, assimilation and acculturation caused changes in livelihood structure. In addition, The mining sector's existence in the Kao community custom area had the potential to limit access to natural and social capital due to ecological loss. However, the mining sector could mobilize human and physical capital through Social Performance programs in the education sector and infrastructure development. The adverse effects of the mining sector to the environment had become such a stimulus for the Kao Village community to adopt an environmentally friendly development approach that had economic value and was able to improve the community welfare. Thus, the Kao Village community managed to maintain and utilize the mangrove forest using a community-based ecotourism approach to endurance livelihood sustainability. These results could be developed into recommendations for regional policymakers, especially in the rural areas, to mobilize the capability of local community access to capitals through the tourism sector to maintain livelihood sustainability.

Abstract: Sustainable economic growth can be achieved through tourism by protecting the environment, maintaining natural resources, creating employment, improving cultural diversity, and recognizing cultural heritage values. The concept of tourism sustainability is gradually growing globally and becoming a dominant aspect in modern business, as companies need to meet stakeholders’ demands regarding environmental management. Sustainable tourism incorporates environmental, social, economic, and cultural issues into operations. The demand for green tourism, ethical consumption, protection of natural resources, and living close to nature is expected to increase. In particular, the latter gains more and more popularity due to the stress caused by the global pandemic and also because values have been re-evaluated at every level of society. In this paper, we explore sustainability in the tourism industry within the international context during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a specific focus on tourism in 35 European countries for the period between January 2020 and September 2021. We aimed to study the impact of tourism on sustainability based on the Eurostat database, using cluster analysis and descriptive statistics. The results indicate that tourism will recover slightly, even though the pandemic will continue, recording different effects in European countries. Furthermore, we highlight the relationship between income and tourism, the clusters on tourism being significantly different according to income. The results also identify potential recovery options to align this business area with global sustainable development goals, generate effective transformational change, and suggest how to create a viable growth process pushed by a glocal perspective.
