Journal ArticleDOI
Oxidative addition of acetone to butadiene
TL;DR: In this article, the authors showed that the reaction proceeds via the same intermediate, probably a complex of Mn(III) with the ketoalcohol, and that the formation in both cases of identical mixtures of exo- and endo-1-methyl-3-vinyl-2,8-dioxa-cis-bicyclo[3.3.4]nonanes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermal decomposition reactions of 2-methyltetrahydrofuran hydroperoxide and peroxide
TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal decomposition of 2-methyltetrahydrofuran in solution was studied and the principal products were identified, and it was shown that the decomposition proceeds to a large degree with an opening of the tetrahedron ring.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Selectivity of the generation of 3- and 4-carboxyalkyl radicals from substituted glutaric and adipic acids and their oxidative lactonization
TL;DR: The selectivity of the oxidative decarboxylation of acids with carboxyl groups at secondary and tertiary C atoms under the action of the S2O82−--Ag+ and S 2O82 −-Ag +- Cu2+ systems is at least an order of magnitude faster than that of acids having COOH groups at a primary C atom, as a result of which 3 and 4-carboxyalkyl radicals with the general formula R'RĊ(CH2)nCOOH (R is alkyl or
