On the Kinetic Model Description of Rayleigh–Brillouin Scattering from Molecular Gases

TL;DR: In this article, the behavior of a model kinetic equation used for describing the density fluctuation spectrum in molecular gases was analyzed in detail in the kinetic regime, in the case of molecular gases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic models and Brillouin scattering in a molecular gas

TL;DR: Within the framework of the Wang Chang-Uhlenbeck kinetic equation, the authors proposed a model description of molecular gases, which is related to the models earlier discussed by Hanson and Morse.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic Theory of Molecular Gases I: Models of the Linear Waldmann–Snider Collision Operator

TL;DR: Using a method closely akin to the Gross-Jackson-Sirovich procedure, this article presented a modeling theory of the linear Waldmann-Snider collision operator, and the resulting model kinetic equations are applica...
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic Theory of Molecular Gases II: Calculation of Time Dependent Correlation Functions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors applied the Waldmann-Snider equation to the study of time dependent correlation functions in a dilute molecular gas and derived the density autocorrelation function and its double Fourier transform compared with the polarized Rayleigh-Brillouin light scattering.
