TL;DR: In this article, the authors identified seven primary barriers and forty-four sub-barriers and then rationalized with various socio-economic theories to manage the waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Abstract: The generation of waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has increased proportionally across the world, and the developed countries due to regulatory pressures have made technological upgradations and practices to manage this huge quantity of waste. However, the developing countries like India are facing numerous hurdles in managing the huge quantity of WEEE. Therefore, this study aims to first identify the barriers of WEEE management in the context of India and subsequently analyze those barriers that need to be addressed urgently to manage this issue. Through extensive literature review, expert inputs, we have identified seven primary barriers and forty-four sub-barriers and then rationalize with various socio-economic theories. Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) is applied in this study to prioritize the barriers and then identify the interdependence of these barriers on each other. The results indicate that the policy and regulatory barriers and the infrastructural barriers are the prominent barriers for effective management of WEEE. Further, the results obtained through DEMATEL analysis indicate that the policy and regulatory barriers as well as the socio economic barriers are the most prominent barriers with maximum driving effect on the overall system.

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-phase hybrid methodology for partner selection by electronic companies is presented, where the first phase involves extensive literature for identification of green competencies (GC) criteria and then finalize seven main criteria and forty-eight sub-criteria with experts' opinion, the second phase involves fuzzy AHP method which is used to calculate relative weight and rank the selection criteria and third phase involves ranking of recycling partners' alternative with respect to GC criteria weights using novel VIKOR.

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-criterion approach for evaluation of various factors that are responsible for the return of apparels purchased online in context of India is presented, which can be used for retail policy improvements and also to online selling strategy.
Abstract: Online apparel industry is suffering from a major issue of return, with a high rate of return for apparels that are sold online it becomes necessary to investigate the probable reasons of return in online apparel industry. The objective of the study is to develop a multi-criterion approach for evaluation of various factors that are responsible for the return of apparels purchased online in context of India. A total of 34 factors were identified through literature review and discussion with experienced experts from the fashion domain. In this study, best–worst method has been employed to prioritize and rank the factors for online return more effectively. Sensitivity analysis has been carried out to check the robustness of the proposed model of the study. The findings of the study show that fit and size variation, defects, found a better product (wisdom of purchase), wrong product delivery, lenient return policy and value for money were identified as crucial factors for online apparel return. The present study provides valuable research implications which can be used for retail policy improvements and also to online selling strategy.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the combined effects of self-identity and social identity constructs on intention and behaviour, and examined the effect of selfidentity as a function of past experience of performing the behaviour.
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to examine further the role that self-identity plays in the theory of planned behaviour and, more specifically, to: (1) examine the combined effects of self-identity and social identity constructs on intention and behaviour, and (2) examine the effects of self-identity as a function of past experience of performing the behaviour. The study was concerned with the prediction of intention to engage in household recycling and reported recycling behaviour. A sample of 143 community residents participated in the study. It was prospective in design: measures of the predictors and intention were obtained at the first wave of data collection, whereas behaviour was assessed two weeks later. Selfidentity significantly predicted behavioural intention, a relationship that was not dependent on the extent to which the behaviour had been performed in the past. As expected, there was also evidence that the perceived norm of a behaviourally relevant reference group was related to behavioural intention, but only for participants who identified strongly with the group, whereas the relationship between perceived behavioural control (a personal factor) and intention was strongest for low identifiers.

TL;DR: In this paper, a natural resource-based view of the firm is proposed, which is composed of three interconnected strategies: pollution prevention, product stewardship, and sustainable development, and each of these strategies are advanced for each of them regarding key resource requirements and their contributions to sustained competitive advantage.
Abstract: Historically, management theory has ignored the constraints imposed by the biophysical (natural) environment. Building upon resource-based theory, this article attempts to fill this void by proposing a natural-resource-based view of the firm—a theory of competitive advantage based upon the firm's relationship to the natural environment. It is composed of three interconnected strategies: pollution prevention, product stewardship, and sustainable development. Propositions are advanced for each of these strategies regarding key resource requirements and their contributions to sustained competitive advantage.
