Syntheses, Spectra, and Structures of (Diphosphine)platinum(II) Carbonate Complexes.

TL;DR: A variety of (diphosphine)platinum(II) carbonate complexes, (LL)Pt(CO(3), are readily prepared by treatment with silver carbonate in dichoromethane solution provided that water is present, which permits facile preparation of analogous (13)C-labeled complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Decarbonylation of unprotected aldose sugars by chlorotris(triphenylphosphine)rhodium(I). A new descent of series approach to alditols, deoxyalditols, and glycosylalditols

TL;DR: La decarbonylation de C n aldoses non proteges par un complexe du rhodium donne les correspondants C n -1 alditols as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence for Platinum(II) Oxo Intermediates in Reactions of (Diphosphine)platinum(II) Carbonate Complexes.

TL;DR: In this paper, a number of reactions in the presence of L (L = PR3, CO, CNR), including *CO2 and CS2 exchange and oxidation of L to give (dppp)Pt(L)2 and LO, that are consistent with the intermediacy of platinum(II) oxo species, (Dppp)(L)pt+−O−O-.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transacetalation: a convenient, nonaqueous method for effecting the deprotection of isopropylidene and benzylidene derivatives of sugars

TL;DR: In this article, the deprotected sugar isopropylidene derivatives can be deprocessed under nonaqueous conditions by treatment of a dichloromethane solution of the protected sugar with an excess of a sacrificial glycol in the presence of a catalytic amount of p -toluenesulfonic acid.
