Fabrication of metallic heat exchangers using sacrificial polymer mandrils
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), polyurethane (PU), epoxy, and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) as mandrils was demonstrated to fabricate metallic heat exchangers having 300-700 /spl mu/m internal channels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combining Micromachining and Molecular Self-Assembly To Fabricate Microelectrodes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe three types of gold electrodes, each with at least one spatiai dimension as small as 1 prm, fabricated using combinations of micromachining and molecular self-assembly.
Journal ArticleDOI
Probing the energetics of dissociation of carbonic anhydrase-ligand complexes in the gas phase.

TL;DR: Results indicate that specific interactions between the sulfonamide group on the inhibitor and the Zn(II) ion on CAII were preserved in the gas phase, consistent with the hypothesis that CAII retains, at least partially, the structure of its binding pocket in theGas phase on the time scale (seconds to minutes) of the ESI-FTICR measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of fatty acids using organocopper (I) ate complexes derived from Grignard reagents.
TL;DR: The reaction sequence uses starting Grignard reagent with high efficiency, provides product mixtures that are conveniently worked up, and tolerates a variety of functional groups.
