Preparation of monodisperse biodegradable polymer microparticles using a microfluidic flow-focusing device for controlled drug delivery.
Qiaobing Xu,Michinao Hashimoto,Tram T. Dang,Todd Hoare,Daniel S. Kohane,George M. Whitesides,Robert Langer,Daniel G. Anderson +7 more
TL;DR: The fabrication of monodisperse, drug-loaded microparticles from biodegradable polymers using the microfluidic flow-focusing (FF) devices and the drug-delivery properties of those particles and the release of the drug is slower than that from conventional methods but a broader distribution of sizes is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI
Subcellular positioning of small molecules.
Shuichi Takayama,Emanuele Ostuni,Philip R. LeDuc,Keiji Naruse,Keiji Naruse,Donald E. Ingber,George M. Whitesides +6 more
TL;DR: The use of multiple laminar streams in a microfluidic channel to deliver membrane-permeable molecules to selected subcellular microdomains opens up avenues for non-invasively visualizing, probing and manipulating the cellular metabolic and structural machinery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Forming electrical networks in three dimensions by self-assembly
TL;DR: Self-assembly of millimeter-scale polyhedra, with surfaces patterned with solder dots, wires, and light-emitting diodes, generated electrically functional, three-dimensional networks.
