Journal ArticleDOI

Disease recognition by infrared and Raman spectroscopy.

TL;DR: The current review gives an overview of the experimental techniques, data‐classification algorithms and applications to assess soft tissues, hard tissues and body fluids to recognize various diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI

In situ conformational analysis of fibrinogen adsorbed on Si surfaces

TL;DR: Although there is some increase of turn structure and decrease of beta-sheet structure, the secondary structure of adsorbed fibrinogen on hydrophilic surface turned out to be rather similar to that of the protein in solution phase with a major alpha-helix content.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface plasmon resonance interferometry for micro-array biosensing

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase reveals abrupt jumps in response to a minute increase in the effective thickness of a receptor layer that binds analyte particles on the sensor surface, which forms the basis for biosensing with sensitivity much higher as compared to traditional SPR sensors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Infrared and Raman imaging of biological and biomimetic samples.

TL;DR: Infrared radiation provides a wealth of information without a priori knowledge of either the spectral data or the composition of the sample and requires multivariate analysis methodologies in order to effectively mine the chemical and spatial information contained within the data.
