Search for long-lived neutral particles decaying to quark-antiquark pairs in proton-proton collisions at √s =8TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2145 more
- 20 Jan 2015 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a search is performed for long-lived massive neutral particles decaying to quark-antiquark pairs, and upper limits at 95% confidence level are set on the production cross section of a heavy neutral scalar particle, H, in the mass range of 200 to 1000 GeV, decaying promptly into a pair of longlived neutral X particles in the range of 50 to 350 GeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

First measurement of the cross section for top-quark pair production in proton–proton collisions at s = 7 TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2158 more
- 17 Jan 2011 -
TL;DR: The first measurement of the cross section for top-quark pair production in pp collisions at the LHC at center-of-mass energy sqrt(s)= 7 TeV has been performed using 3.1 {\pm} 0.3 inverse pb of data recorded by the CMS detector as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Azimuthal anisotropy of charged particles at high transverse momenta in Pb-Pb collisions at √s NN=2.76TeV

S. Chatrchyan, +2267 more
TL;DR: The anisotropy parameter (v2) of the particles is extracted by correlating charged tracks with respect to the event-plane reconstructed by using the energy deposited in forward-angle calorimeters, with the decline persisting up to at least pp(T)=40 GeV/c over the full centrality range measured.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transverse-mass dependence of two-pion correlations in Au + Au collisions at √SNN = 130 GeV

K. Adcox, +323 more
TL;DR: Two-pion correlations in roots(NN) = 130 GeV Au+Au collisions at RHIC have been measured over a broad range of pair transverse momentum k(T) by the PHENIX experiment as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of Long-Range Near-Side Two-Particle Angular Correlations in pp Collisions at √s = 13 TeV

Khachatryan, +2258 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results on two-particle angular correlations for charged particles produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV were presented, and the data were taken with the CMS detector at the LHC.
