Interaction Between Digoxin and Commonly Coadministered Drugs in Children
TL;DR: Because many of the children receiving a combination of digoxin and interacting drugs are outpatients, it is mandatory to take steps to ensure that toxicity will be detected and treated in its early stages.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal Article

Celia L. Culley,Tasha D Ramsey,Godfrey R Mugyenyi,Gertrude N. Kiwanuka,Joseph Ngonzi,Stuart MacLeod,Gideon Koren,Brian Grunau,Matthew O. Wiens +8 more

Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of hair pigment on the incorporation of fatty acid ethyl esters (FAEE).
TL;DR: FAEE incorporation into hair does not appear to be affected by hair pigment, which is in congruence with what is known about the chemistry of drug-melanin interactions, important in avoiding potential bias and discrimination in the interpretation of alcohol abuse based on hair color.
Journal ArticleDOI
Should pregnant women be included in phase IV clinical drug trials
Gerald G. Briggs,Gerald G. Briggs,Gerald G. Briggs,Janine E. Polifka,Katherine L. Wisner,Eric Gervais,Richard K. Miller,Anick Bérard,Gideon Koren,Alicia B. Forinash,Craig V. Towers +10 more
TL;DR: Examination of how physicians currently counsel pregnant women when there are no human data is examined and an alternative method in which knowledge regarding risks associated with the use of drugs during pregnancy can be enhanced in a clinical trial setting is proposed.
