Application forms and types of soil acidity corrective: Changes in depth chemical attributes in long term period experiment
Jocelina Paranhos Rosa de Vargas,Danilo Rheinheimer dos Santos,Marilia Camotti Bastos,Gilmar Luiz Schaefer,Pedro Bolzan Parisi +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors quantify the chemical changes in the soil caused by lime application with different Ca:Mg ratios 141 months after its application and show that the use of calcitic lime provided more significant alterations in the attributes related to soil acidity in the profile compared to the dolomite.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tracing sediment sources in two paired agricultural catchments with different riparian forest and wetland proportion in southern Brazil
Tales Tiecher,Laurent Caner,Jean Paolo Gomes Minella,André Pellegrini,Viviane Capoane,Jimmy Walter Alvarez Rasche,Gilmar Luiz Schaefer,Danilo dos Santos Rheinheimer +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the sediment source contribution in two paired agricultural catchments with different proportions of riparian vegetation and wetlands, and similar proportion of crop fields, by using the fingerprinting approach.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contribuição das fontes de sedimentos em uma bacia hidrográfica agrícola sob plantio direto
Tales Tiecher,Jean Paolo Gomes Minella,Pablo Miguel,Jimmy Walter Rasche Alvarez,André Pellegrini,Viviane Capoane,Lucas Henrique Ciotti,Gilmar Luiz Schaefer,Danilo Rheinheimer dos Santos +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a bacias hidrografica localizada no municipio de Julio de Castilhos, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, was used to identify fontes of sedimentos.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phosphorus seasonal sorption-desorption kinetics in suspended sediment in response to land use and management in the Guaporé catchment, Southern Brazil.
Mohsin Zafar,Mohsin Zafar,Tales Tiecher,José Augusto Monteiro de Castro Lima,Gilmar Luiz Schaefer,Maria Alice Santanna,Danilo Rheinheimer dos Santos +6 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate that agricultural practices, sediment characteristics, and hydrological factors have a major impact on seasonal sediment P bioavailability and mobility and the urban untreated discharges may be a single major P source and, if it is not wisely managed, proves a major threat to water quality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transferência de nitrogênio e fósforo para águas superficiais em uma bacia hidrográfica com agricultura e produção pecuária intensiva no Sul do Brasil
Viviane Capoane,Tales Tiecher,Gilmar Luiz Schaefer,Lucas Henrique Ciotti,Danilo Rheinheimer dos Santos +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the concentration of nitrate and soluble phosphorus (P) in the stream water were assessed in a rural watershed under intensive agriculture and livestock production in southern Brazil, where water samples were collected at 11 points along the drainage system in three different periods.
