Journal ArticleDOI

CRYSTALLINE HIGH POLYMERS OF α-OLEFINS

TL;DR: In this paper, a linear crystalline polymers of α-olefins are synthesized and the properties of polypropylene, poly-α-butylene, and polystyrene are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and properties of isotactic polypropylene

TL;DR: The crystal structure of isotactic polypropylene and its chemical-physical properties are described in this article, where the polymer crystallizes in the Cc space group with the following constants of the unit cell.
Journal ArticleDOI

The structure of crystalline 1,2‐polybutadiene and of other “syndyotactic polymers”

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported that one type of these crystalline polymers obtained with heterogeneous catalysts represents a continuous l,4-trans arrangement of the monomer units.
Book ChapterDOI

Progress in stereospecific polymerization

TL;DR: In this article, the steric purity of polymers with an ordered steric structure has been studied and the relationship between steric structures and crystallinity has been investigated. But the results show that a regular steric shape is a necessary but not a sufficient condition for the crystallizability of the polymers, and that the shape and size of the R group not only determine the different conformations of isotactic helices, but also cause the lack of crystallinity.
