Dielectric relaxation of 6-CB dispersed in polymer matrix
TL;DR: In this paper, dielectric relaxation studies for n-hexylcyanobiphenyl in pure state and dispersed in a polymer matrix have been performed, and a method for evaluation of the fraction of the 6-CB molecules which are not affected by the polymer surface anchoring forces in the nematic droplets has been presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elastic properties of n-octyloxycyanobiphenyl
TL;DR: In this paper, the temperature's behavior of the splay and band elastic constants for n-octyloxycyanobiphenyl (8-OCB) has been studied.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
The structural transitions in the thermotropic ferronematics
Peter Kopcansky,I. Potočová,Martina Koneracka,Milan Timko,Jan Jadżyn,Grzegorz Czechowski,A. M. G. Jansen +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structural transitions in thermotropic ferronematic, i.e., nematic liquid crystal (8CB) doped with fine magnetic particles (d ~ 10 nm), exposed to combined electric and magnetic fields, were studied within the Burylov and Raikher's theory.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dielectric Studies of the Structure in Some Homologous Series of Esters and Their Mixtures
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of electric permittivity and conductivity measurements for mesogens from the CBnAB (n = 5−8) homologous series and for the mixtures of CB7AB with 10XPCHB (X = F or COCH3), are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Static and Dynamic Dielectric Properties of Mesogenic n-Nonyloxycyanobiphenyl (9OCB)
Grzegorz Czechowski,Jan Jadżyn +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dielectric properties of n-nonyloxycyanobiphenyl in the isotropic (I), nematic (N) and smectic A (SA) phases were investigated.
