TL;DR: The fuzzy synthetic model was built by adopting AHP and fuzzy mathematics theory and has set up the evaluation index system of third class highway traffic safety with the help of safety reliability.
Abstract: Based on analysis of traffic safety of third class highway in western area, the text has adopted 28 more important influence factors as the evaluation index from eight aspects, which is natural condition, route condition, and roadside condition and so on.With the help of safety reliability,it has set up the evaluation index system of third class highway traffic safety. The fuzzy synthetic model was built by adopting AHP and fuzzy mathematics theory. The instance of G212 in Zhangxian Country of Gansu Province is calculated and analyzed with this method, and if the safety reliability satisfied the need, the results are agree with investigates of highway management department. The method can reflect the traffic safety of third class highway in western area.

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-tiered programming model is set up with the passenger satisfaction as a major goal and the enterprise's operating efficiency as a lower goal, then a mixed genetic simulated annealing algorithm is designed.
Abstract: The main purpose of urban public transport vehicle scheduling is for the convenience of passenger's travel on the premise of maximum interest of the enterprise. The key question is how to configure vehicles and arrangements for a day in various time slots on the frequency. In the current study, based on survey data and the analysis and derivation, the two-tiered programming model is set up with the passenger satisfaction as a major goal and the enterprise's operating efficiency as a lower goal. Then a mixed genetic simulated annealing algorithm is designed. The results show that the two-tiered model and design of genetic simulated annealing algorithm have a certain effectiveness and feasibility.

TL;DR: A transit vehicle scheduling optimization algorithm which balancing between the benefits of bus companies and passengers is proposed and the glowworm swarm optimization (GSO) with random disturbance factor, namely R-GSO is applied to the schedule of vehicles.
Abstract: The intelligent schedule of vehicles operation is one of the problems which need to be solved in the dispatching system of public transit vehicles, it relates to the development of the city and civic daily life. In this paper, a transit vehicle scheduling optimization algorithm which balancing between the benefits of bus companies and passengers is proposed. The glowworm swarm optimization (GSO) with random disturbance factor, namely R-GSO is applied to the schedule of vehicles. Finally, we provide some comparisons of R-GSO with artificial fish-swarm algorithm, particle swarm optimization and GSO, the simulation results show R-GSO algorithm has higher efficiency and is an effective way to optimize the public transit vehicle dispatching.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors advocate for a modeling framework that considers traffic safety equity as a focal point, which is defined as how appropriately and equally the impacts of transportation are distributed among different types of users.
Abstract: Traffic safety policies are still conventionally ranked on financial and environmental criteria in developing countries, yet the equity concept can be advantageously used as an integral part of the process of traffic safety policy making. Equity in transportation is defined as how appropriately and equally the impacts of transportation are distributed among different types of users. The main contribution of this research is to introduce traffic safety equity in transportation policy making. The authors advocate for a modeling framework that considers traffic safety equity as a focal point. The analytical network process overcomes the drawbacks of data intensive models that are so difficult to implement reliably in developing countries and recognizes the existence of complex interdependencies among traffic safety factors. The approach is demonstrated on the case of Tehran, Iran. In this study, seventeen transportation elements are grouped into four clusters (driver characteristics, roadway characte...
