Journal ArticleDOI

Transcription Factors Sp8 and Sp9 Coordinately Regulate Olfactory Bulb Interneuron Development.

TL;DR: It is shown that Sp8 and Sp9 coordinately regulate OB interneuron development, and newly born neuroblasts in the V-SVZ-RMS-OB system fail to express Prokr2 and Tshz1 expression, genes with known roles in promoting OB interneeuron differentiation and migration, and that are involved in human Kallmann syndrome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Decoding Cortical Glial Cell Development

TL;DR: In this article, a single-cell RNA-Seq with intersectional lineage analyses was used to reveal the process of cortical radial glial cell lineage progression and the developmental origins of cortical astrocytes and oligodendrocyte and Olfactory bulb interneurons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cortical Neural Stem Cell Lineage Progression Is Regulated by Extrinsic Signaling Molecule Sonic Hedgehog

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that Sonic hedgehog signaling is both necessary and sufficient for the generation of GSX2+ IPCs by reducing GLI3R protein levels and the process of the lineage switch of cortical NSCs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transcription factors Sp8 and Sp9 regulate the development of caudal ganglionic eminence-derived cortical interneurons.

TL;DR: It is shown that transcription factors Sp8 and Sp9 are co‐expressed in the subventricular zone (SVZ) of the dorsal CGE and this provides evidence that Sp8/9 coordinately regulate CGE‐derived cortical interneuron development in part through repressing the expression of Pak3, Robo1, and Slit1.
