Ordered semiconductor ZnO nanowire arrays and their photoluminescence properties

TL;DR: In this paper, ordered semiconductor ZnO nanowire arrays embedded in anodic alumina membranes (AAM) were fabricated by generating alumina templates with nanochannels, electrodepositing Zn in them, and then oxidizing the Zn nanowires arrays.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation and photoluminescence of highly ordered TiO2 nanowire arrays

TL;DR: In this paper, the photoluminescence (PL) measurements of TiO2 nanowire arrays show a visible broadband with three peaks at about 425, 465, and 525 nm that are attributed to self-trapped excitons, F, and F+ centers, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Arrays of Cone‐Shaped ZnO Nanorods Decorated with Ag Nanoparticles as 3D Surface‐Enhanced Raman Scattering Substrates for Rapid Detection of Trace Polychlorinated Biphenyls

TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D hybrid surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate has been achieved via simultaneously assembling small Ag nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) and large Ag spheres onto the side surface and the top ends of large-scale vertically aligned cone-shaped ZnO nanorods (ZnO-NRs), respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Hierarchically Ordered Array of Silver Nanorod Bundles for Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering Detection of Phenolic Pollutants

TL;DR: A hierarchically ordered array of Ag-nanorod bundles is achieved using an inexpensive binary-template-assisted electrodeposition technique, which exhibits SERS enhancements of approximately eight orders of magnitude with uniform and reproducible SERS signal throughout the whole chip.
