Molecular cytogenetic analysis of a series of 23 DiGeorge syndrome patients by fluorescence in situ hybridization.
S. Demczuk,Chantal Desmaze,M. Aïkem,Marguerite Prieur,F. LeDeist,M. Sanson,Guy A. Rouleau,Gareth J. Thomas,Alain Aurias +8 more
TL;DR: The authors have studied a series of 23 DiGeorge syndrome patients by prometaphase chromosome analysis and/or by FISH with a set of 6 cosmid probes spanning the previously described commonly deleted region, finding that only the most telomeric of these loci is conserved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Teneurin transmembrane protein 4 is not a cause for essential tremor in a Canadian population.
Gabrielle Houle,Jean-François Schmouth,Jean-François Schmouth,Claire S. Leblond,Amirthagowri Ambalavanan,Dan Spiegelman,Sandra B. Laurent,Cynthia V. Bourassa,Michel Panisset,Sylvain Chouinard,Nicolas Dupré,Carles Vilariño-Güell,Alex Rajput,Patrick A. Dion,Patrick A. Dion,Guy A. Rouleau,Guy A. Rouleau +16 more
TL;DR: The aim of this study was to determine the frequency and spectrum of variations in teneurin transmembrane protein 4 in a cohort of Canadian essential tremor cases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of Essential Tremor With Novel Risk Loci

Agúndez,Félix Javier Jiménez-Jiménez,Pau Pastor,Alex Rajput,Günther Deuschl,Gregor Kuhlenbaümer,Inge A. Meijer,Patrick A. Dion,Guy A. Rouleau +47 more
TL;DR: Can common genetic variants associated with essential tremor (ET) be identified and may help identify new genes and inform ET biology?
Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic lithium treatment alters the excitatory/inhibitory balance of synaptic networks and reduces mGluR5–PKC signalling in mouse cortical neurons
Anouar Khayachi,Ariel R. Ase,Calwing Liao,Anusha Kamesh,Naila Kuhlmann,Lenka Schorova,Boris Chaumette,Patrick A. Dion,Martin Alda,Philippe Séguéla,Guy A. Rouleau,Austen J. Milnerwood +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of acute and chronic lithium treatment on mature mouse cortical neurons were investigated using RNA screening and biochemical and electrophysiological approaches with confocal immunofluorescence and live-cell calcium imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Loss of heterozygosity on chromosome 22 in human gliomas does not inactivate the neurofibromatosis type 2 gene
David Watkins,Martin H. Ruttledge,Julie Sarrazin,Shyam Rangaratnam,Michel Poisson,Jean-Yves Delattre,Guy A. Rouleau +6 more
TL;DR: Although frequent loss of heterozygosity on chromosome 22 suggests that in activation of a tumor suppressor gene on this chromosome plays a role in development of gliomas, there is no evidence that inactivation of the NF2 gene is implicated in this process, confirming the results of other studies of theNF2 gene in human glioma.
