TL;DR: In this paper, the conservation implications of the use of mammal species in traditional folk medicines in Benin have been investigated; the authors found that rarer species were more costly and this constitutes an economic motivation for sellers to develop strategies for the availability of threatened species on their displays.

TL;DR: The harmonisation of regulations in Africa could reduce the circulation of prohibited antimicrobials and lead to the implementation of a plan for the control and surveillance of residues from veterinary medicinal products in foods of animal origin.
