Current issues in recrystallization: a review

TL;DR: The current understanding of the fundamentals of recrystallization is summarized in this paper, which includes understanding the as-deformed state, nucleation and growth, the development of misorientation during deformation, continuous, dynamic, and geometric dynamic recystallization, particle effects, and texture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Constitutive analysis in hot working

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of impurities and dispersoids on the constitutive equations for Al alloys are briefly discussed and compared with carbon, micro-alloyed, tool and stainless steels and to ferritic steels which usually do not exhibit DRX.
Journal ArticleDOI

Current issues in recrystallization: A review

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors defined recrystallization as the formation and migration of high angle grain boundaries driven by the stored energy of deformation, and grain coarsening as processes involving the migration of grain boundaries when the driving force for migration is solely the reduction of the grain boundary area itself.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of dynamic recrystallization theory

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the grain boundary serrations meet across the elongated thinned grains thus pinching them off into almost equiaxed grains containing a substructure, thus geometric DRX.
