Determination of defect distributions from admittance measurements and application to Cu(In,Ga)Se2 based heterojunctions
TL;DR: In this article, a method to deduce energy distributions of defects in the band gap of a semiconductor by measuring the complex admittance of a junction is proposed, which consists of calculating the derivative of the junction capacitance with respect to the angular frequency of the signal corrected by a factor taking into account the band bending and the drop of the ac signal.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cu2ZnSnS4 thin film solar cells from electroplated precursors: Novel low-cost perspective
Ahmed Ennaoui,Martha Ch. Lux-Steiner,A. Weber,Daniel Abou-Ras,I. Kötschau,H.-W. Schock,R. Schurr,A. Hölzing,Stefan Jost,Rainer Hock,T. Voß,Jörg Schulze,Andreas Kirbs +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a thin-cell solar cell based on Cu 2 ZnSnS 4 (CZTS) absorbers was fabricated successfully by solidstate reactionin H 2 S atmosphere of electrodeposited Cu-Zn−Sn precursors.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the Sn loss from thin films of the material system Cu-Zn-Sn-S in high vacuum
TL;DR: In this article, a combination of in situ X-ray diffractometry and x-ray fluorescence (XRF) at a synchrotron light source allowed identifying phases, which tend to decompose and evaporate a Sn-containing compound.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electronic properties of CuGaSe2-based heterojunction solar cells. Part I. Transport analysis
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a systematic study on the electronic transport mechanisms of thin-film solar cells and propose two transport models, namely tunneling enhanced volume recombination (TV recombination) and tunable enhanced interface recombination, which allow to explain the observed features for all devices under consideration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of sodium on the growth of polycrystalline Cu(In,Ga)Se2 thin films
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of Na on the growth of thin-films was investigated by three model experiments and it was shown that Na influences the growth due to its interaction with Se.
