A polyhedral approach to RNA sequence structure alignment

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of optimally aligning a given RNA sequence of unknown structure to one of known sequence and structure was formulated as an integer linear program and then solved using methods from polyhedral combinatorics.

Simulating synthetic polymer chains in parallel

TL;DR: This work devised and compared a master version and a distributed version of the algorithm that is particularly suited for the parallel MD simulations of synthetic polymers, and found the master version is competitive for a relatively large number of processors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Visuelle Analytik biologischer Daten

Journal ArticleDOI

An optimal construction method for generalized convex layers

TL;DR: In this paper, a space, query time and preprocessing time optimal solution for this class of point retrieval problems was provided. But the preprocessing step of their algorithm has time complexity O(n2).
