TL;DR: In this article, the design of stabilizing feedback control of singularly perturbed diserete-time systems is decomposed into slow and fast controllers which are combined to form the composite control.
Abstract: The design of stabilizing feedback control of singularly perturbed diserete-time systems is decomposed into the design of slow and fast controllers which are combined to form the composite control. Composite control strategies are developed for the case of single rate measurements (all variables are measured at the same rate) as well as for the case of multirate measurements (slow variables are measured at a rate slower than that of fast variables).

TL;DR: In this article, a two-time-scale analysis and design procedure for stabilization and regulation of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems is presented, where the composite control proposed by Chow and Kokotovic [5] asymptotically stabilizes the desired equilibrium and produces a finite cost.
Abstract: For a general class of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems, a two-time-scale analysis and design procedure for stabilization and regulation is presented. It is shown that, under a set of conditions, the composite control proposed by Chow and Kokotovic [5], asymptotically stabilizes the desired equilibrium and produces a finite cost J uc , which tends to the cost of the slow regulator as the perturbation parameter e tends to zero. Thus, the well-posedness of the full regulator problem is established. Furthermore, under different stability requirements on the fast subsystem, explicit upper and lower bounds on J uc are obtained. Finally, for each result in this paper an upper bound on the perturbation parameter e is provided under which the result is valid.

TL;DR: A decentralized control scheme is proposed for stabilization of a class of interconnected systems using local output feedback and is robust with respect to uncertainties in parameters and non-linearities in the interactions among the subsystems.

TL;DR: A two-step pole-placement design procedure for a general output feedback structure is presented and recent frequency domain results for two-time scale systems are used to interpret the composite stale feedback control of singularly perturbed systems.
Abstract: Recent frequency domain results for two-time scale systems are used to interpret the composite stale feedback control of singularly perturbed systems and its extensions to special output feedback stuctures. A two-step pole-placement design procedure for a general output feedback structure is presented.
