Journal ArticleDOI
Co-administration of protein drugs with gold nanoparticles to enable percutaneous delivery
Yongzhuo Huang,Faquan Yu,Yoon Shin Park,Jianxin Wang,Meong Cheol Shin,Heesun Chung,Victor C. Yang +6 more
TL;DR: A non-invasive vaccine delivery strategy was developed, and by topically co-administrating antigens with Au-NPs, robust immune responses were elicited in the tested animals, providing the promise for achieving a needleless and self-administrable transcutaneous vaccination.
Journal ArticleDOI
L-Asparaginase encapsulated intact erythrocytes for treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Young Min Kwon,Heesun Chung,Cheol Moon,James W. Yockman,Yoon Jeong Park,Scott D. Gitlin,Allan E. David,Victor C. Yang,Victor C. Yang +8 more
TL;DR: An innovative, novel method for encapsulating proteins into intact and fully functional erythrocytes was established for potential treatment of ALL through a novel method of RBC-incorporation of proteins using the membrane-translocating low molecular weight protamine (LMWP).
Journal ArticleDOI
Cell-penetrating peptides meditated encapsulation of protein therapeutics into intact red blood cells and its application
Huining He,Junxiao Ye,Yinsong Wang,Quan Liu,Heesun Chung,Young Min Kwon,Meong Cheol Shin,Kyuri Lee,Victor C. Yang,Victor C. Yang,Victor C. Yang +10 more
TL;DR: A novel method for encapsulating proteins into intact RBCs is introduced, which was meditated by a cell penetrating peptide (CPP) developed in the lab-low molecular weight protamine (LMWP).
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of postmortem redistribution phenomena for commonly encountered drugs
Eunyoung Han,Eunmi Kim,Hyojeong Hong,Sujin Jeong,Ji Hyun Kim,Sangwhan In,Heesun Chung,Sangki Lee +7 more
TL;DR: The findings of a study into the post-mortem redistribution (PMR) of 76 drugs found in 129 drug-related cases between 2006 and 2009 can be used to reach a conclusion about the cause and manner of death.
Journal ArticleDOI
Validation of a simultaneous analytical method for the detection of 27 benzodiazepines and metabolites and zolpidem in hair using LC–MS/MS and its application to human and rat hair
TL;DR: The developed method was successfully applied to five legal cases involving use of benzodiazepines and zolpidem and to an animal study on drug incorporation into hair, which confirmed the presence of Diazepam and its three metabolites in hair.
