Dislocation creep behavior in Mg–Al–Zn alloys

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the climb-controlled dislocation creep behavior of Mg-Al-Zn alloys with different aluminum contents and found that the flow stress increased with the increase of aluminum content under the same deformation conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low temperature superplasticity of a fine-grained ZK60 magnesium alloy processed by equal-channel-angular extrusion

TL;DR: In this article, a fine-grained ZK60 magnesium alloy with the grain size of 14 μm was processed by equal-channel angular extrusion and the material exhibited low temperature superplasticity.
Journal ArticleDOI

High strain rate deformation behavior of an AZ91 magnesium alloy at elevated temperatures

TL;DR: In this article, high-temperature compressive properties at a high strain rate of 103 s−1 were examined in solution treated AZ91 magnesium alloy, and it was shown that the deformation at high strain rates of ∼103 s− 1 proceeds by conventional plastic flow of dislocation glide and twinning even at elevated temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Grain Size Control of Commercial Wrought Mg-Al-Zn Alloys Utilizing Dynamic Recrystallization

TL;DR: In this paper, a phenomenological constitutive equation was developed in order to provide a guideline for the control of the grain size of hot deformed AZ61 alloy, and grain refinement was observed during deformation.
