Regulation of stem cell fate using nanostructure-mediated physical signals

TL;DR: In this paper, the combined effect of various approaches and mechanisms of physical signals provides a perspective on stem cell fate promotion by nanostructure-mediated physical signals, and a methodology that can be utilized for stem cell engineering and for the regulation of stem cell phenotype via nanostructured physical signals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cobalt( iii )-catalyzed site-selective C–H amidation of pyridones and isoquinolones

TL;DR: In this paper, a site-selective amidation of pyridones and isoquinolones using oxazolones as the amidation reagent is reported, which features mild conditions, high efficiency and good functional tolerance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surfactantless photochemical growth of Ag nanostructures on GaN epitaxial films with controlled morphologies and their application for SERS

TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of polyhedral Ag NCs is induced by the separation of the nucleation and growth processes by the GaN surface, and both surface states and carrier concentration are considered to play substantial roles during the growth process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile Film-Nanoctahedron Assembly Route to Plasmonic Metamaterial Absorbers at Visible Frequencies

TL;DR: Electromagnetic simulations demonstrated that enhanced Mie resonances and strong plasmonic coupling effects were critical for the designed MAs, and may provide an efficient and alternative route for the design of scalable visible light absorbers for applications such as solar cells, photothermalvoltaics, and biochemical sensors.
