Elucidation of the molecular responses to waterlogging in Sesbania cannabina roots by transcriptome profiling.
TL;DR: A large-scale assessment of genomic resources of Sesbania provides guidelines for probing the molecular mechanisms underlying S. cannabina waterlogging tolerance and reveals that energy-consuming biosynthetic processes were dramatically repressed by short and long term waterlogting, while amino acid metabolism was greatly induced to maintain ATP levels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibition of Streptococcus mutans Biofilms by the Natural Stilbene Piceatannol Through the Inhibition of Glucosyltransferases.
TL;DR: The lead stilbene identified through the docking study against the catalytic domain of GtfC is a natural product known as piceatannol, which inhibited S. mutans colonization in an in vivo drosophila model and a rat model of dental caries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bingqing Wang,Bingqing Wang,Meiting Zhao,Liuxiao Li,Ying Huang,Xiao Zhang,Chong Guo,Zhicheng Zhang,Hongfei Cheng,Wenxian Liu,Jing Shang,Jing Jin,Xiaoming Sun,Junfeng Liu,Hua Zhang,Hua Zhang +15 more
TL;DR: The preparation of ultra-thin MOF nanoribbons (NRBs) by using metal-hydroxide nanostructures as the precursors, which have been successfully used as a fluorescent sensing platform for DNA detection, which exhibited excellent sensitivity and selectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeted delivery and pH-responsive release of doxorubicin to cancer cells using calcium carbonate/hyaluronate/glutamate mesoporous hollow spheres.
TL;DR: The results indicate that the mesoporous hollow spheres can efficiently load the anticancer drug doxorubicin and efficiently deliver it through the specific binding of hyaluronate on hollow spheres with CD44 receptors overexpressed on cancer cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancing the sensing specificity of a MoS2 nanosheet-based FRET aptasensor using a surface blocking strategy
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the sensing specificity of the MoS2 nanosheet-based aptasensor towards target pLDH biomolecules can be significantly enhanced through surface passivation, thus contributing to the development of highly selective and robust point-of-care malaria diagnostics.
