Encapsulation of nanoscale metal oxides into an ultra-thin Ni matrix for superior Li-ion batteries: a versatile strategy

TL;DR: An interesting, facile and versatile strategy to encapsulate various nanoscale metal oxides into an ultrathin Ni matrix (metal oxide@Ni) for superior LIBs and can be further extended to make other advanced oxide@metal hybrids, not only for LIBs but also for other potential fields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Graphene oxide architectures prepared by molecular combing on hydrophilic-hydrophobic micropatterns.

TL;DR: A novel graphene oxide (GO) architecture is fabricated on hydrophilic-hydrophobic patterned alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers on Au by molecular combing of GO sheets, and the reduced GO architecture-based device is demonstrated to detect NO2 gas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coupled impacts of sea-level rise and tidal marsh restoration on endangered California clapper rail

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a predictive multi-process framework to quantitatively assess the spatially variable, interlinked dynamics of sea-level rise, wetland transition, habitat suitability and connectivity, and shorebird distribution and abundance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison between adrenal venous sampling and computed tomography in the diagnosis of primary aldosteronism and in the guidance of adrenalectomy.

TL;DR: AVS guidance had moderate concordance with CT and slightly improved clinical outcomes after adrenalectomy and the age below which CT unilateralization achieved 100% cured rate was approximately 30 years.
Journal ArticleDOI

From monomer to tetramer and beyond: the intriguing chemistry of Securinega alkaloids from Flueggea virosa

TL;DR: In this paper, a biosynthesis directed search for alkaloid oligomers from Flueggea virosa returned fluevirosinine A (4) as the first tetramer of the Securinega structure family, flueggenines C (1) and D (2) as two new dimers, and flueverosine D (3) as a new trimer.
