TL;DR: In this article, a sample of 432 students was taken from five top private universities of Bangladesh to evaluate their perception toward dimensions of higher education, and a multinomial regression analysis was conducted to identify the characteristics of students which make their perception about quality education dissimilar.
Abstract: In recent decades, the commercialization of education has become more apparent and the need for using marketing tools is greater than before. This study aims to identify the demographic and background information of students that differentiate their perception about quality of higher education. A sample of 432 students was taken from five top private universities of Bangladesh to evaluate their perception toward dimensions of higher education. Multinomial regression analysis was conducted to identify the characteristics of students which make their perception about quality of higher education dissimilar. The findings show that status of students for scholarship, extracurricular activities, parents’ education, age, previous result, and university they study in have a significant influence on perception about quality of higher education. Part-time job status has moderate influence on the students’ perception. This research carries value to education policy-makers and university authorities. They can...

Abstract: Quality of education has been a concern for decades. Gradually it is becoming more specialised and commercialised throughout the world. In this study a sample of 400 students were taken from the five renowned private universities of Bangladesh for measuring perception toward education quality of existing students. Principle component analysis was used to measure grouping among variables indicating dimensions of education quality. Perceptions about education quality were tested as to whether they have associations with the students' characteristics of current status and socio-economic background. The findings of the study showed that both administrative and faculty characteristics jointly express quality of education to a higher extent, whereas institutional features and students' characteristics express quality of education to a moderate extent. The study also showed that perceptions toward quality of education depend on students' current status and socio-economic background.

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-country comparative study was conducted to investigate antecedents to, and the consequences of a sense of belonging to a firm's Facebook community, which was grounded in the theory of sense of community.
Abstract: This two-country comparative study’s purpose is to investigate antecedents to, and the consequences of a sense of belonging to a firm’s Facebook community.,The model was grounded in the theory of sense of community and tested through structural equation modelling. Consumer panels were used via online surveys.,Of the three antecedents hypothesised to influence an individual’s sense of belonging, enjoyment is a very strong predictor in both countries; while the credibility of posts was also a significant predictor for Australia, but not for South Africa. The findings also show no direct relationship between a sense of belonging and continuing behaviour. However, for both countries, there is a strong relationship between a sense of belonging and the involvement with firm offerings in Facebook; and that involvement is significant for the intention to continue engaging with firms through this social media environment.,The findings support the framing of the study, in the sense of community theory and enhance researchers’ understanding of the role of a sense of belonging in moving visitors from simply clicking “like” to a deeper sense of engagement with the firm’s social media community and the flow-on effect to managerial relevant outcomes.,The model is developed from the theory of sense of belonging, thus providing a fresh perspective to this research context. Additionally, there is limited research into the psycho-social antecedents and the outcomes of consumers’ sense of belonging to a firm’s Facebook community.

TL;DR: In this article, a pioneering bibliometric-and network analysis of the CE literature is presented, thus mapping the field of CE research and identifying important avenues for further CE research.
Abstract: Purpose - In recent years, customer engagement (CE) with brands, which has been shown to yield enhanced firm sales, competitive advantage, and stock returns, has risen to occupy a prominent position in brand management research and practice. Correspondingly, scholars have explored CE’s conceptualization, operationalization, and its nomological networks as informed by different theoretical perspectives. However, despite important advances, the intellectual structure of the overall corpus of CE research remains tenuous, as therefore explored in this paper. Design/methodology/approach - Based on this gap, this study deploys bibliometric- and network analysis to map CE’s literature-based landscape. Using bibliometric analysis, important CE-publishing journals, authors, and influential CE articles (2005-2020) are uncovered. Using network analysis, prominent CE themes are also unearthed. Findings - The results document key CE-publishing journals and authors, and their respective contributions to the literature. Five CE themes are also identified, including CE Measurement/Methods, Online CE, CE’s Value Co-creating Capacity, CE Conceptualization, and Customer/Consumer Brand Engagement. Further, an agenda for future CE research is provided based on the presented network analysis results. Practical implications - The reported findings generate important implications for brand managers. For example, the identified critical role of online (vs. offline) CE offers a range of strategic opportunities, as outlined. Originality/value - This paper offers a pioneering bibliometric- and network analysis of the CE literature, thus mapping the field. From the identified CE themes, important avenues for further CE research are also identified.

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of working conditions on quality education in Indonesia in the presence of mediation of faculty retention and employability is studied, where data was collected from 293 faculty members of the educational institutes of Indonesia and confirmatory factor analysis CFA and structural equation modeling approaches have been used.
Abstract: Education has become inevitable for every country and specifically for every person to proceed in with the appropriate pace. Life is really difficult to be lived without essential amount of education. Many countries are giving attention towards this cause and are making strategies and policies to improve the quality of education in the country. For better quality of education, working conditions of the educational institutes is very important. In addition, faculty retention and employability are very crucial in this regard. In the current study, the aim of the author is to study the impact of working conditions on quality education in Indonesia in the presence of mediation of faculty retention and employability. For this purpose, data was collected from 293 faculty members of the educational institutes of Indonesia. To analyze the gathered data, confirmatory factor analysis CFA and structural equation modeling approaches have been used. The results of data analysis have shown that the impact of working condition on quality education is insignificant but the mediating role of employability and faculty retention are significant in this regard. In the last section of the study, several theoretical, practical and policy making implications have been discussed by the author. In addition, some limitations and future research indications have also been described.
