Foreword ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. The increasing popularity of festivals and events, coupled with their positive and negative impacts on host communities, has led to a growing body of research on the social impacts of festivals and events. To date, work by several authors represents research in impact scale development specifically related to the social impacts of festivals and events. This article reports on the scale developed by Small and Edwards in 2003, now known as the Social Impact Perception (SIP) scale, which measures residents’ perceptions of the social impacts resulting from community festivals. The aim of this study was to test the SIP scale using a larger sample, allowing for further refinement of the scale using exploratory factor analysis. This research represents development of the SIP scale, and is in line with the refinement of other event impact scales, to which factor analysis has also been applied. This represents the most recent stage of this research, which has the aim of refining the SIP scale and identifying the underlying dimensions of the social impacts of community festivals. Factor analysis identified six underlying dimensions of the social impacts of community festivals: inconvenience, community identity and cohesion, personal frustration, entertainment and socialization opportunities, community growth and development, and behavioral consequences.

Social dimensions of community festivals: an application of factor analysis in the development of the Social Impact Perception (SIP) scale

Limited research examines short-haul and long-haul travelers' intentions to visit an emerging vacation destination in South America. To fill this gap, this research investigates intentions of potential travelers from two short-haul (Peru and Brazil) and two long-haul (Spain and Germany) markets to visit Chile as a vacation destination. The authors develop a conceptual model that expands upon the theory of planned behavior (TPB) framework by incorporating self-concept theory and destination familiarity. The data were collected by applying an online questionnaire to respondents in four countries. Hypotheses are tested with structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. The results verify that the extended TPB model has good explanatory power and that destination familiarity and self-concept, in particular the ideal social self, help to differentiate what drives short and long-haul travelers' intentions to visit Chile. Perceived behavioral control and subjective norms are the strongest predictors of both short and long-haul travelers’ intentions to visit Chile for vacation.

Understanding travelers’ intentions to visit a short versus long-haul emerging vacation destination: The case of Chile

This paper starts by reviewing medium -to long- term growth prospects provided in recent academic and policy research. The paper argues that, owing to the ongoing advances in ICT, much higher growth is technologically feasible, but that a considerable amount of churn and reallocation across firms in the market sector. Next, the paper presents evidence on recent patterns of reallocation in EU countries. Based on theoretical findings from 
heterogeneous firm dynamics models, the paper will describe how various types of policy could affect the processes of allocation and selection and thereby growth prospects. Finally, the paper will combine empirical and theoretical insights to point towards promising policy directions. Conditional on the policy environment, labor productivity growth in the EU of 2.5 percent per year for the next 20-30 years appears attainable.

The practices of virtual reality marketing in the tourism sector, a case study of Bali, Indonesia

The research studies local culture reflected through pray, hard work, honesty, tatwamasi and gotong royong influencing property sales and company assets. Fifty companies are qualified as sample of sixty one property companies actively operated in 2013. Data is collected through questionnaire having tested for its reliability and validity before distributed to those fifty companies. The collected data is analyzed with multiple  regression. Result shows that hard work, honesty, tatwamasi and gotong royong culture that well implemented are able to improve property sale and assets ownership. Result of the study has implication that in order to improve financial performance, local culture should be included as variable in performance measurement. Result of the study gives contribution to Schein’s organizational culture (2004) that colored with local culture; therefore, values believed in an organization are able to improve performance.

The Impact of Local Culture on Financial Performance in Property Firms in Bali

The research aims to find out about the implementation of harmonization concept as organizational culture by village credit institution (LPDs) in Bali. The ethnomethodology approach is an analysis used to interpret the implementation of harmony culture. Data is collected through interview with LPDs’ owners and management and followed by data reduction, presentation and conclusion. Research result shows that harmonization culture has been used as behavioral value by LPDs’ owner and management to maintain the harmony of relationship with God, among human, and the surrounding environment through activities as sradha and bhakti, tawam asi, olas asih, rwa bhineda and karmaphala . The research confirms Schein’s (2004) organizational culture that sradha dan bhakti, karmaphala are basic assumptions, tawam asi and rwa bhineda are value systems and olas asih is an artifact. Ownership in the Perspective of Ethnomethodology at the Village Credit Institutional in Bali

Environmental measurement standards of various events that are easy to
understand are currently still in a debate in various sustainable tourism studies. This
study aims to develop an environmental measurement model based on community
participation and harmonious culture in an event activity in a tourism village. This
study uses two approaches, qualitative and quantitative. Event organizers are
selected as the research informants to deeply explore the event implementation. The
result of qualitative data processing is used as a base in questionnaire construction.
Respondents are selected using stratified proportional random sampling and 82
event organizers has fulfilled the questionnaire correctly. The qualitative result
indicates that belief system, cultural values, and community participation are new
variables to measure green event. The quantitative result indicates that event
organizers have good understanding on harmonious culture-integrated
environmental measurement indicators. The trial result of the model on a case study
of Cultic event finds that harmonization with God and Human dominate the event
activities, whereas harmonization with environment is mostly immeasurable since
the event is a traditional community- and cultural-based event. The research result
contributes to the development sustainability theory, especially in environmental
management. The model attributes can be developed further by adding several
indicators, such as government, supplier, and the existing associations.

Developing a harmonious culture-based sustainable event model in bali tourism village

The research aims to explain the role of customary village institutional ownership and harmonious values as moderating variables related to credit risk and inefficiency in order to increase financial performance of LPD in Bali. 100 of 1405 companies are used as sample and Partial Least Square (PLS) is used to test built model. The examination found that harmonious values stressing on harmonious relationship between human and God, between humans and between human and environment is strengthening institutional ownership to reduce credit risk. Institutional ownership is able to reduce credit risk and inefficiency but it doesn’t have significant influence on financial performance. Through credit risk reduction and inefficiency, financial performance is able to be increased at LPD. Type of non-performing loan has not been described in the research, which is become research limitation; however, the research gives color in financial management especially agency cost related to credit risk that can be reduced by the implementation of harmonious values.
