Clustal W and Clustal X version 2.0

TL;DR: The Clustal W and ClUSTal X multiple sequence alignment programs have been completely rewritten in C++ to facilitate the further development of the alignment algorithms in the future and has allowed proper porting of the programs to the latest versions of Linux, Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

M-Coffee : Combining multiple sequence alignment methods with T-Coffee

TL;DR: M-Coffee is a meta-method for assembling multiple sequence alignments (MSA) by combining the output of several individual methods into one single MSA that is robust to variations in the choice of constituent methods and reasonably tolerant to duplicate MSAs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly-multiplexed barcode sequencing: an efficient method for parallel analysis of pooled samples

TL;DR: The successful 96-plexing of complex pools of DNA barcoded yeast mutants is reported and it is shown that such ‘Bar-seq’ assessment of these samples is comparable with data provided by barcode microarrays, the current benchmark for this application.
