Journal ArticleDOI
Self-assembled vertical GaN nanorods grown by molecular-beam epitaxy
TL;DR: In this article, a hexagonal, single crystal GaN along the c-axis was grown on Si (111) surface through self-assembly by molecular-beam epitaxy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spin splitting in modulation-doped Al x Ga 1 − x N / G a N heterostructures
Ikai Lo,J. K. Tsai,W. J. Yao,P. C. Ho,Li-Wei Tu,Ting-Chang Chang,S. Elhamri,W. C. Mitchel,Kuang-Yu Hsieh,J. H. Huang,H. L. Huang,Wen-Chung Tsai +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) measurement was used to detect two SdH oscillations on the samples of $x=0.35$ and 0.31, due to the population of the first two subbands with the energy separations of 128 and 109 meV, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence for a stable excitonic ground state in a spatially separated electron-hole system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dresselhaus effect in bulk wurtzite materials
Wan-Tsang Wang,C. L. Wu,Shiow-Fon Tsay,Ming-Hong Gau,Ikai Lo,Hsiu-Fen Kao,Der-Jun Jang,Jih-Chen Chiang,Meng-En Lee,Yia-Chung Chang,Chun-Nan Chen,H. C. Hsueh +11 more
TL;DR: The Dresselhaus effect in ideal wurtzite bulk inversion asymmetry has been studied in this paper, where it is shown that the Dresselaus effect generates a minimum spin-splitting surface in the two-band k∙p Hamiltonian, which can be regarded as a spin-degenerate surface near the Γ point.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exchange-enhanced g‐factors in an Al0.25Ga0.75N∕GaN two-dimensional electron system
TL;DR: In this paper, the positions of a pair of spin-split SdH maxima are estimated at different Landau level (LL) indices to estimate the g-factor at different LL indices.
