Isomerism in bicyclic diacetals. Part I. 1,3:2,4- and 1,4:2,3-Di-O-methylene-erythritol
Ian J. Burden,J. Fraser Stoddart +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, acid-catalysed methylenation of erythritol affords 1,3:2,4- and 1,4: 2,3-di-O-methylene-ethritol.
Journal ArticleDOI
The complexing properties of chiral crown ethers incorporating 1,3:4,6-di-O-methylene-D-mannitol residues. A secondary dipole-induced dipole interaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chiral symmetric crowns incorporating the 4,6-O-benzylidene derivatives of methyl α-D-glucopyranoside and methyl α-D-galactopyranoside. A configurational impediment to complexation of organic cations by 18-crown-6 derivatives
Journal ArticleDOI
Toward a Charged Homo[2]catenane Employing Diazaperopyrenium Homophilic Recognition
Xirui Gong,Jiawang Zhou,Karel J. Hartlieb,Claire E. Miller,Peng Li,Omar K. Farha,Joseph T. Hupp,Ryan M. Young,Michael R. Wasielewski,J. Fraser Stoddart +9 more
TL;DR: It is shown that irradiation of the DAPPHC8+ catenane at 330 nm in acetonitrile solution results in simultaneous energy and electron transfer and the generation of a temporary charge-separated state within a rigid and robust homo[2]catenane.
Journal ArticleDOI
