Angular distribution of photons from the delay of the GDR in hot and rotating light Yb nuclei from exclusive experiments
A. Maj,J.J. Gaardhøje,A. Atac,S. Mitarai,J. Nyberg,Ari Virtanen,A. Bracco,F. Camera,Benedicte Million,M. Pignanelli +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the angular distributions of photons associated with the damping of excited-state giant dipole resonances (GDR) in hot and rotating 161,162 Yb nuclei have been measured in exclusive experiments using the HECTOR array.
Journal ArticleDOI
Angular momentum dependence of the GDR width in Sn nuclei at fixed excitation energy
M. Mattiuzzi,A. Bracco,F. Camera,W.E. Ormand,W.E. Ormand,J.J. Gaardhøje,A. Maj,B. Million,M. Pignanelli,Trine Spedstad Tveter,Trine Spedstad Tveter +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, high-energy γ-rays from the decay of the giant-dipole resonance (GDR) in the hot 106Sn compound nucleus and its daughters were measured in coincidence with heavy recoiling evaporation residues.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured yields and differential distributions of K +, K −, π +, π − in transverse kinetic energy and rapidity, around the center-of-mass rapidity in 158 A GeV/ c Pb+Pb collisions at the CERN SPS.
Journal ArticleDOI
One and two-dimensional analysis of 3π correlations measured in Pb+Pb interactions
Ian Gardner Bearden,H. Bøggild,J. G. Boissevain,P.H.L. Christiansen,L. Conin,J. Dodd,B. Erazmus,S. Esumi,C.W. Fabjan,D. Ferenc,D. E. Fields,A. Franz,J.J. Gaardhøje,A.G. Hansen,Olfred Hansen,D. Sondheim,Toru Sugitate,J. P. Sullivan,Y. Sumi,W.J. Willis,K.L. Wolf,Nu Xu,Daniel S. Zachary +52 more
TL;DR: In this article, the three-body effect is found to be stronger for Pb+Pb than for S+Sb. The two-dimensional three-particle correlation function is also measured and the longitudinal extension of the source is larger than the transverse extension.
Journal ArticleDOI
Limitation of the Compton suppression in Ge-BGO Compton suppression spectrometers
TL;DR: In this article, a detailed study of the NORDBALL Ge-BGO Compton suppression spectrometers has been performed, with special emphasis on photoelectron yields of the scintillators, optimisation of charge integration in the electronics and the low energy thresholds of the BGO detectors.
