TL;DR: The main objective of this paper is to find similarity over large data that needs effective and efficient processing of raw data within a satisfactory response time.
Abstract: In traditional DBMS system handled well structured and no two elements occur twice. But more than one occurrence is quite natural in big data processing. Moreover last decades many characteristics (like volume, variety, value) coupled with the data, makes the searching complex for the traditional database system. Effective way of storing the data makes it easier way to processes the data. The main objective of this paper is to find similarity over large data that needs effective and efficient processing of raw data within a satisfactory response time.

TL;DR: In this paper , an empirical study was conducted among teachers in higher education institutions to understand the effectiveness of Microsoft Teams in helping them to transfer the knowledge to their learners without any halt.
Abstract: AbstractThe importance of technology to network teachers and learners in all levels of education across the globe is being realized due to the impact of COVID-19. Technologies that were used for business conferences earlier reformed themselves and emerged as the solution to bridge institutions with its students. Enterprises like Zoom, Google, Microsoft, and Cisco Webex unlocked their basic features for free to the education sector during this pandemic which is a good sign of humanity. Teachers are being exposed to LMS and other integrating technologies for the first time to stabilize the situation, thereby ensuring continuous learning. An empirical study was conducted among teachers in higher education institutions to understand the effectiveness of Microsoft Teams in helping them to transfer the knowledge to their learners without any halt. The questionnaire was designed to understand how the tool serves the purpose of teaching under various factors. The data was collected from teachers currently employed in higher education institutions across India through Google Forms. The data that was analysed using Excel revealed that MS Teams is found very convenient among teachers to build a strong network with their students in delivering lectures, discussions, assessments, off-class assistance, and integrating other features. It was also found user-friendly and competent when compared to other similar networking tools.KeywordsOnline network toolsMicrosoft TeamsTeaching toolsCommunication technology

TL;DR: This paper represents the most comprehensive literature-based study on the fields of data analytics, big data, data mining, and machine learning applied to healthcare engineering systems.
Abstract: The objective of this paper is to assess and synthesize the published literature related to the application of data analytics, big data, data mining and machine learning to healthcare engineering systems.,A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted to obtain the most relevant papers related to the research study from three different platforms: EBSCOhost, ProQuest and Scopus. The literature was assessed and synthesized, conducting analysis associated with the publications, authors and content.,From the SLR, 576 publications were identified and analyzed. The research area seems to show the characteristics of a growing field with new research areas evolving and applications being explored. In addition, the main authors and collaboration groups publishing in this research area were identified throughout a social network analysis. This could lead new and current authors to identify researchers with common interests on the field.,The use of the SLR methodology does not guarantee that all relevant publications related to the research are covered and analyzed. However, the authors' previous knowledge and the nature of the publications were used to select different platforms.,To the best of the authors' knowledge, this paper represents the most comprehensive literature-based study on the fields of data analytics, big data, data mining and machine learning applied to healthcare engineering systems.

TL;DR: SIR as mentioned in this paper is a tool for configurable EMR similarity search in high dimensions (within 0.0931 and 0.7824 s respectively using its basic and advanced version), can be embedded directly in the database, and has an intuitive interface.
Abstract: With the development of technology, Electronic Medical Re-cords (EMRs) are widely used for medical analysis through methods such as similarity search. Typical EMRs contain attributes of different data types including string, enumeration and numeric data, and are commonly stored in a database. However, many EMR similarity search algorithms neither separate different data types nor conduct search directly in the database. In addition, for researchers and doctors who need similarity search but do not have strong programming background, a user-friendly interface is missing. Therefore, we design a tool “SIR” to solve the aforementioned problems. SIR can conduct configurable similarity search in high dimensions (within 0.0931 and 0.7824 s respectively using its basic and advanced version), can be embedded directly in the database, and has an intuitive interface.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigate whether Microsoft Teams promotes a quasi-synchronous mode of discussion and has a similar beneficial effect on student engagement in online discussion tasks and find that students who engaged with each other in a discussion task in a synchronous mode were more willing to work together, felt more positive and more like they belonged than students in an asynchronous mode.
Abstract: As students begin to reconnect after the COVID-19 pandemic, changing student expectations around online engagement seem to be suggesting that new approaches should be adopted. Recent research has found that students who engaged with each other in a discussion task in a synchronous mode were more willing to work together, felt more positive and more like they belonged than students in an asynchronous mode. We wish to extend these findings by investigating whether Microsoft Teams promotes a quasi-synchronous mode of discussion and has a similar beneficial effect. The proposed study adopts a mixed-methods approach of quasi-experimental design to address this question. Students will be randomly assigned to groups of five and provided with online forums (control) then re-form and use Teams (experimental) for a discussion task. Data will be collected through survey, digital artefacts and interviews. We aim to contribute robust, empirical evidence on the effects of Teams on student engagement, which will be of interest to educational leaders and teachers.

TL;DR: In this paper , a range of views from technology enhanced learning professionals from across the sector are surveyed to provide institutions with a framework to help them consider their future directions and how the evolving technology landscape may see newer ways of using emerging technologies to better support or student cohorts.
Abstract: It has been said for years that, in the near future the Learning Management System (LMS) will become a thing of the past. Some suggest this should already be the case, but it has not been possible to break our institutional dependence on this technology. In the meantime, institutions have developed sophisticated networks of tools, largely built off the back of LTIs and xAPIs to seamlessly make the LMS a pervasive convenor of learning. These tools include media streaming, virtual classrooms, collaboration tools, plagiarism checking, ePortfolio, voice interaction, peer-review/learning, brainstorming, H5Ps and the list goes on. All that is left for the traditional LMS to do is to mediate these tools, house and collate assessment and scaffold the different learning scenarios. Admittedly it also helps the institution link to other organizational tools such as student management and curriculum management systems. This chapter looks at the future implications and examines a range of views from technology enhanced learning professionals from across the sector. The views being canvased may provide institutions with a framework to help them consider their future directions and how the evolving technology landscape may see newer ways of using emerging technologies to better support or student cohorts.
