Swarm kinematic orbits and gravity fields from 18 months of GPS data
Adrian Jäggi,Christoph Dahle,Daniel Arnold,Heike Bock,Ulrich Meyer,Gerhard Beutler,J. van den IJssel +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used 1.5 years of Swarm GPS and attitude data to generate kinematic positions of high quality to perform gravity field determination using the Celestial Mechanics Approach.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient gravity field recovery from GOCE gravity gradient observations
TL;DR: In this article, an efficient algorithm for gravity field recovery from gravity field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer (GOCE) satellite gravity gradient observations is proposed, which combines the iterative solution of the normal equations, using a Richardson-type iteration scheme, with the fast computation of the right-hand side of normal equations in each iteration step by a suitable approximation of the design matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global Ionospheric and Thermospheric Effects of the June 2015 Geomagnetic Disturbances : Multi-Instrumental Observations and Modeling
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate ionospheric/thermospheric behavior during the period from 21 to 23 June 2015, when three interplanetary shocks (IS) of different intensities arrived at Earth.
CHAMP precise orbit determination using GPS data
J. van den IJssel,Pieter Visser +1 more
TL;DR: These evaluations indicate a 3D orbit accuracy of the DEOS orbit solution at the sub-decimeter level of the IGS/LEO CHAMP Orbit Comparison Campaign.
Journal ArticleDOI
Champ precise orbit determination using GPS data
TL;DR: In this article, a reduced-dynamic CHAMP orbit determination strategy has been applied based on ionospheric-free triple-differenced GPS phase measurements along with precise GPS orbits computed by the International GPS Service (IGS).
