Abstract: Addition of F3CCCH and F3CCCCF3 to [(η5-C5H5)FeSMe(CO)2] gives mono- and bi-nuclear methylthio-alkenyl complexes, and with [(η5-C5H5)Mo(CO)3]2 and MeSSMe a novel six-membered metallocycle incorporating S-methyl thioester and η3-acryloyl functions is obtained.
