Abstract: Treatment of the dimolybdenum tetracarboxylato derivatives [Mo 2 (O 2 CR) 4 ] (R=CH 3 ; R=C(CH 3 ) 3 ) with the H 2 TMTAA (C 22 H 24 N 4 ) ligand in pentan-1-ol in the presence of DBU affords the new complexes [Mo 2 (TMTAA)(O 2 CR) 2 ] (R=CH 3 (1) ; R=C(CH 3 ) 3 ). Complex 1 has been structurally characterized.
