TL;DR: In this article, the authors quantified the associated energy during a rock avalanche and assessed the influence of fragmentation on post-failure mass avalanches by measuring the energy associated with fragmentation.
Abstract: Fragmentation is one of the mechanisms involved in rock avalanches. Quantifying the associated energy during a rock avalanche can help to assess the influence of fragmentation on post-failure mass ...

TL;DR: In this paper, the resuspension potential of surficial sediments in Saguenay Fjord was investigated in situ over a 3-yr period at fifteen sites in the Baie des Ha! Ha! and the North Arm using a benthic flume, the Miniflume.

TL;DR: A detailed morphological analysis integrating bathymetric and seismic reflection profiles can help to clarify the underlying mechanisms which may lead to mass movements in the Saguenay Fjord.
Abstract: As interest in developing offshore resources increases, so too does the need to characterize submarine mass and determine the probability that these events will affect new developments. In order to predict the likelihood of submarine mass movements, it is necessary to understand the conditions that have caused previous movements in the area. A detailed morphological analysis integrating bathymetric and seismic reflection profiles can help to clarify the underlying mechanisms which may lead to mass movements. In order to complete this type of analysis in the Saguenay Fjord, several software tools were used in conjunction.
