Photometric amplitudes and phases of nonradial oscillation in rotating stars
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of rotational mode coupling on photometric parameters of stellar oscillations are studied, where the authors show that at moderate rotation rates, a strong coupling between modes of spherical harmonic degree, differing by 2 and of the sameazimuthal order, m, takes place if the frequencies are close.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inferences from pulsational amplitudes and phases for multimode delta Sct star FG Vir
Jadwiga Daszyńska-Daszkiewicz,W. A. Dziembowski,A. A. Pamyatnykh,A. A. Pamyatnykh,Michel Breger,W. Zima,Günter Houdek +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, photometric and spectroscopic data on twelve modes excited in FG Vir were combined to determine their spherical harmonic degrees, and to obtain constraints on the star model, finding evidence that convective transport in the envelope of this star is inefficient.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diverse Variability of O and B Stars Revealed from 2-minute Cadence Light Curves in Sectors 1 and 2 of the TESS Mission: Selection of an Asteroseismic Sample
M. G. Pedersen,S. Chowdhury,Cole Johnston,Dominic M. Bowman,Conny Aerts,Conny Aerts,Gerald Handler,Peter De Cat,Coralie Neiner,Alexandre David-Uraz,Derek Buzasi,Andrew Tkachenko,Sergio Simón-Díaz,Ehsan Moravveji,James Sikora,G. M. Mirouh,Catherine Lovekin,Matteo Cantiello,Matteo Cantiello,Jadwiga Daszyńska-Daszkiewicz,Andrzej Pigulski,Roland Vanderspek,George R. Ricker +22 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report the detection and classification of new variable O and B stars using high-precision short-cadence (2 minutes) photometric observations assembled by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Constraints on parameters of B-type pulsators from combined multicolour photometry and radial velocity data I. β Cephei stars
TL;DR: In this paper, Stromgren photometry and radial velocity measurements are used simultaneously to obtain constraints on mean parameters of the stars and identi- fication of the excited modes.
