Intraepithelial CD8+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and a high CD8+/regulatory T cell ratio are associated with favorable prognosis in ovarian cancer
Eiichi Sato,Sara H. Olson,Jiyoung Ahn,Brian N. Bundy,Hiroyoshi Nishikawa,Feng Qian,Achim A. Jungbluth,Denise Frosina,Sacha Gnjatic,Christine B. Ambrosone,James L. Kepner,Tosin Odunsi,Gerd Ritter,Shashikant Lele,Yao-Tseng Chen,Haruo Ohtani,Lloyd J. Old,Kunle Odunsi +17 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that intraepithelial CD8+ TILs and a high CD8-/Treg ratio are associated with favorable prognosis in epithelial ovarian cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor of the central nervous system: a highly malignant tumor of infancy and childhood frequently mistaken for medulloblastoma: a Pediatric Oncology Group study.
Peter C. Burger,I. T. Yu,Tarik Tihan,Henry S. Friedman,Douglas Strother,James L. Kepner,Patricia K. Duffner,Larry E. Kun,Elizabeth J. Perlman +8 more
TL;DR: In contrast to patients with medulloblastoma, the neoplasm with which these lesions are often confused, the outcome of the patients was uniformly poor, and the mean postoperative survival of patients with atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors was only 11 months.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neuropsychologic functioning of survivors of childhood medulloblastoma randomized to receive conventional or reduced-dose craniospinal irradiation: a Pediatric Oncology Group study.
Raymond K. Mulhern,James L. Kepner,Patrick R.M. Thomas,F D Armstrong,Henry S. Friedman,Larry E. Kun +5 more
TL;DR: Evidence to support the hypothesized ordering of groups in terms of neuropsychologic toxicity was obtained with regard to Performance Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Full Scale IQ, Attention, Reading, and Arithmetic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Histopathologic grading of medulloblastomas: a Pediatric Oncology Group study.
Charles G. Eberhart,James L. Kepner,Patricia T. Goldthwaite,Larry E. Kun,Patricia K. Duffner,Henry S. Friedman,Douglas R. Strother,Peter C. Burger +7 more
TL;DR: The authors evaluated the clinical effects of increasing anaplasia and nodularity in a large group of children with medulloblastomas, hypothesizing that increasing nodularity would predict better clinical outcomes and that increasing anaPlasia would presage less favorable results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cyclophosphamide Plus Topotecan in Children With Recurrent or Refractory Solid Tumors: A Pediatric Oncology Group Phase II Study
R L Saylors rd,Kimo C. Stine,James P. Sullivan,James L. Kepner,Donna A. Wall,Mark L. Bernstein,Michael E. Harris,Robert J. Hayashi,Teresa J. Vietti +8 more
TL;DR: The combination of cyclophosphamide and topotecan is active in rhabdomyosarcoma, neuroblastoma, and Ewing's sarcoma and can be given with acceptable hematopoietic toxicity with the use of filgrastim support.
