TL;DR: Predictive tools based on patient and nodule characteristics can be used to accurately estimate the probability that lung nodules detected on baseline screening low-dose CT scans are malignant, according to a population-based prospective study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Participant selection for lung cancer screening by risk modelling (the Pan-Canadian Early Detection of Lung Cancer [PanCan] study): a single-arm, prospective study.
Martin C. Tammemägi,Heidi Schmidt,Simon Martel,Annette McWilliams,John R. Goffin,Michael R. Johnston,Garth Nicholas,Alain Tremblay,Rick Bhatia,Geoffrey Liu,Kam Soghrati,Kazuhiro Yasufuku,David M. TL;DR: The PanCan model was effective in identifying individuals who were subsequently diagnosed with early, potentially curable, lung cancer, and the incidence of cancers detected and the proportion of early stage cancers in the screened population was higher than observed in previous studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
The radiological spectrum of pulmonary lymphoproliferative disease
TL;DR: The multidetector CT findings of LPD are heterogeneous, thereby reflecting the wide spectrum of clinical manifestations of these entities and a demonstration of the breadth of MDCT patterns within this disease spectrum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening for breast cancer in 2018— what should we be doing today?
Jean M. Seely,T. Alhassan +1 more
TL;DR: To help oncologists and physicians provide optimal patient recommendations, the literature was reviewed to find the latest guidelines for screening mammography, including benefits and perceived harms of overdiagnosis, false positives, false negatives, and technologic advances.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary Artery Aneurysms and Pseudoaneurysms in Adults: Findings at CT and Radiography
Elsie T. Nguyen,C. Isabela S. Silva,Jean M. Seely,Semin Chong,Kyung Soo Lee,Nestor L. Müller +5 more
TL;DR: The purpose of this pictorial essay is to illustrate the radiologic manifestations of pulmonary artery aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms with emphasis on the findings on contrast-enhanced CT.
