TL;DR: The authors explored how a group of teacher educators from the Faculty of Education at the University of Cantabria (Spain) conceptualized citizenship education, if they included global perspectives in their notions and how they educate for democracy in an increasingly globalized world.
Abstract: Considering the attention that global citizenship education has recently received, it is not much of a surprise that teacher education programs and courses along the world are including stated goals related to the preparation of teachers to educate their students for global and participatory citizenship. This is also the case of the Faculty of Education at the University of Cantabria (Spain). This study explores how a group of teacher educators from this university conceptualize citizenship education, if they include global perspectives in their notions and how they educate for democracy in an increasingly globalized world. Although teacher education can contribute to challenge pre-service teachers’ perceptions of the nation state as the only locus for democracy and citizenry, the inclusion of global perspectives done by these teacher educators has been very limited. Also, the participants that were more globally concerned were those who had a stronger sense of social justice.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an analysis of the 62 universities in Ecuador that are in the web ranking of universities, in order to evaluate the use of digital media and obtain information on the management of university e-branding.
Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of the 62 universities in Ecuador that are in the web ranking of universities, in order to evaluate the use of digital media and obtain information on the management of university e-branding. The study explores, to a large extent, the digital variables currently used for broadcasting and we include the resources of two indexed databases as a dissemination flow. All this data has been analyzed through statistics and web performance tools. The results indicate the universities in Ecuador do not present a clear use of the academic e-branding as a strategy of dissemination, exposure, and visibility improvement to increase their ranking level. However, it is clear that some have demonstrated the relevance of the uses of these systems to improve their worldwide level spread.

TL;DR: The history of the education inspection in Spain is studied in this article, where the authors compile and evaluate the production made up to the present and raise new topics and research perspectives for future education historians.
Abstract: With this work on the history of the education inspection in Spain, we set two objectives. On the one hand, compile and evaluate the historiographical production made up to the present. On the other, to raise new topics and research perspectives for future education historians. Most of the historical works on inspection have been written in the last thirty years. Many dedicated to a specific period of history, especially in relation to the Second Republic or Franco, others with a geographical demarcation. But more extensive research has also been carried out, where it has been studied how the inspection has been affected by the changes made in your organization, or its role in the implementation of certain educational policies.
