Resonant Converters have wide applications as they can produce a high voltage. Also these converters can reduce the switching losses by operating at Zero Current Switching and Zero voltage switching states. Series Resonant Converter can be used for low output current and Parallel Resonant converter can be used for high output current applications. A review on LLC Resonant Converter

This paper presents the implementation of a generalized photovoltaic model using Matlab/Simulink software package, which can be representative of PV cell, module for easy use on simulation platform. The proposed model is designed with a user-friendly icon and a dialog box like Simulink block libraries which makes the generalized PV model easily simulated and analyzed in conjunction with power electronics. Taking the effect of sunlight irradiance and cell temperature into consideration, the output current and power characteristics of PV model are simulated and optimized using the proposed model. The proposed model enables the dynamics of PV power system to be easily simulated, analyzed and optimized.

Development and Simulation of Stand Alone Photovoltaic Model Using Matlab/Simulink

We present in this paper a study on the thermal behavior of a square micro coil that will be integrated in a DC-DC micro converter. The first, we calculate the value of inductance. The second, we descript our micro coil; dimensioning, electrical model, and formula of loss. A buck micro converter schematic simulation coupled with ideal and integrated micro coil was presented. This conceptual model of the buck is best understood in terms of the relation between current and voltage of the inductor. Finely, we determinate a mathematical expression giving the evolution of temperatures in an integrated micro coil using the separation of variables method and a visualization of the thermal behavior is determined in 2D and 3D space dimension using the finite element method. Thermal Behavior of an Integrated Square Spiral Micro Coil

Steady state analysis is fundamental to give the first observation in circuit design. Buck converter driven by switching has complexity that the circuit topology changes as switching. In this paper a steady state analysis of buck converter is proposed which allows the exact calculation of steady state response. Proposed method uses Fourier series and a recovery function to express steady state output. It calculates infinite series of Fourier series by replacing with recovery function. Comparison between the proposed method and numerical simulation shows that the analysis gives consistent result with steady state of simulation including the non-linear ripple. Our method copes with more complex calculation problems such as average power and root-mean-square power which are most crucial issues in power electronics.

Steady state symbolic analysis of buck converter using fourier series

Photovoltaic solar systems with Panel Integrated Converters (PICs) that are connected in series and parallel are getting more attention for the ability to produce high output voltage while performing Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) function for every single solar panels. Conventionally, MPPT controller and Boost Converter is utilized for each solar panel or channel in this in series and parallel connection architecture, which results in cost increase. This paper presents a single MPPT controller for two solar panels in any series or parallel connection architecture. It is suited when the load is fix voltage or is resistive. The proposed controller is investigated based on boost type PICs. Experimental results under transient and steady state conditions and are presented to verify the performance of the proposed work. Modelling of Variable Frequency Synchronous Buck Converter

The dual bridge resonant converter is designed in this paper. In this converter the LLC type resonance configuration is proposed .This types is compared with the other configurations and its benefits are narrated in this paper. The steady-state analysis of the LLC configuration is done using fundamental harmonics approximation method and the values for the components of resonance configuration is found and used for simulation. The FHA Analysis of Dual-Bridge LLC Type Resonant Converter

This paper provides the detailed analysis of the DC-DC chopper fed Brushless DC motor drive used for low-power applications. The various methods used to improve the power quality at the ac mains with lesser number of components are discussed. The most effective method of power quality improvement is also simulated using MATLAB Simulink. Improved method of speed control by controlling the dc link voltage of Voltage Source Inverter is also discussed with reduced switching losses. The continuous and discontinuous modes of operation of the converters are also discussed based on the improvement in power quality. The performance of the most effective solution is simulated in MATLAB Simulink environment and the obtained results are presented.
