Antidiabetic Effects of Gegen Qinlian Decoction via the Gut Microbiota Are Attributable to Its Key Ingredient Berberine.
Xizhan Xu,Zezheng Gao,Fuquan Yang,Yingying Yang,Liang Chen,Lin Han,Na Zhao,Jiayue Xu,Xinmiao Wang,Yue Ma,Lian Shu,Xiaoxi Hu,Na Lyu,Yuanlong Pan,Baoli Zhu,Linhua Zhao,Xiaolin Tong,Xiaolin Tong,Jun Wang +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of GQD and berberine on a diabetic rat model by comprehensive analyses of gut microbiota, short-chain fatty acids, proinflammatory cytokines, and ileum transcriptomics were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeting RNA with Next- and Third-Generation Sequencing Improves Pathogen Identification in Clinical Samples.
Na Zhao,Jiabao Cao,Jiayue Xu,Beibei Liu,Bin Liu,Dingqiang Chen,Binbin Xia,Liang Chen,Wenhui Zhang,Yuqing Zhang,Xuan Zhang,Zhimei Duan,Kaifei Wang,Fei Xie,Kun Xiao,Wei Yan,Lixin Xie,Hongwei Zhou,Jun Wang +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, RNA/cDNA-targeted sequencing (meta-transcriptomics using NGS (mtNGS)) is established to reduce the host nucleotide percentage in clinic samples and by combining with Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) platforms, mtTGS is used to improve the sequencing time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Profiling of Human Gut Virome with Oxford Nanopore Technology
TL;DR: A full working protocol for analyzing human gut virome using physical enrichment, reverse transcription and random amplification, and eventually the state-of-art single-molecule real-time sequencing (SMRT) platform of Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT).

Multi-omics sequencing and analyzing method based on Nanopore sequencing technology
TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-omics sequencing and analyzing method based on a Nanopore sequencing technology is proposed, which consists of simultaneously performing DNA and RNA extraction on a collected sample, adding a Poly U tail to the 3' end of the extracted RNA, and reverse transcription on the RNA with the PolyU tail to obtain cDNA, and adding an MID barcode sequence to the 5' ends of the cDNA.
