Targeting RNA with Next- and Third-Generation Sequencing Improves Pathogen Identification in Clinical Samples.

TL;DR: In this article, RNA/cDNA-targeted sequencing (meta-transcriptomics using NGS (mtNGS)) is established to reduce the host nucleotide percentage in clinic samples and by combining with Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) platforms, mtTGS is used to improve the sequencing time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Profiling of Human Gut Virome with Oxford Nanopore Technology

TL;DR: A full working protocol for analyzing human gut virome using physical enrichment, reverse transcription and random amplification, and eventually the state-of-art single-molecule real-time sequencing (SMRT) platform of Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT).

Multi-omics sequencing and analyzing method based on Nanopore sequencing technology

TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-omics sequencing and analyzing method based on a Nanopore sequencing technology is proposed, which consists of simultaneously performing DNA and RNA extraction on a collected sample, adding a Poly U tail to the 3' end of the extracted RNA, and reverse transcription on the RNA with the PolyU tail to obtain cDNA, and adding an MID barcode sequence to the 5' ends of the cDNA.
