Contemporary management of acute right ventricular failure: a statement from the Heart Failure Association and the Working Group on Pulmonary Circulation and Right Ventricular Function of the European Society of Cardiology

TL;DR: In the setting of either pressure overload or volume overload, the right ventricular mechanics and function are altered and the RV chamber becomes more spherical and tricuspid regurgitation is aggravated, a cascade leading to increasing venous congestion as mentioned in this paper.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus and heart failure: a position statement from the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology

TL;DR: The coexistence of type 2 diabetes mellitus and heart failure (HF), either with reduced (HFrEF) or preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), is frequent and associated with a higher risk of HF hospitalization, all‐cause and cardiovascular (CV) mortality.
