Polynuclear NiII and MnII azido bridging complexes. Structural trends and magnetic behavior

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of polynuclear Ni II and Mn II azido bridging complexes is presented, where magneto-structural correlations are made from a large number of known structures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flexible meso-Bis(sulfinyl) Ligands as Building Blocks for Copper(II) Coordination Polymers: Cavity Control by Varying the Chain Length of Ligands.

TL;DR: Three novel pseudo-octahedral metal-organic frameworks, 1-3, consisting of macrometallacyclic noninterpenetrating meso networks and exhibiting weak antiferromagnetic interactions, have been constructed from CuII centers and structurally flexible R,S-bis(sulfinyl) ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of heterodinuclear Ln(3+)-Fe3+ and Ln(3+)-Co3+ complexes, bridged by cyanide ligand (Ln3+ = lanthanide ions). Nature of the magnetic interaction in the Ln(3+)-Fe3+ complexes.

TL;DR: Structural studies of these two families show that they are isomorphous, and the relationship in conjunction with the diamagnetism of the Co3+ allows an approximation to the nature of coupling between the iron( III) and the lanthanide(III) ions in the [Ln(DMF)4(H2O)3(mu-CN)Fe(CN)5].nH2 O complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magneto-structural xorrelations in 2D and 3D extended structures of manganese(II)-malonate systems.

TL;DR: Two polymeric malonato-bridged manganese(II) complexes of formula [Mn(mal)(H(2)O)(2)](n)() (2) have been synthesized and characterized and the structure determination reveals that the complex is a 3D network being composed of Mn-malonate sheets which are pillared by bidentate 4,4'-bipy spacer forming small voids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trinuclear N,N-bridged copper(II) complexes involving a Cu3OH core: [Cu3(mu 3-OH)L3A(H2O)2]A.(H2O)x (L = 3-acetylamino-1,2,4-triazolate; a = CF3SO3, NO3, ClO4; x = 0, 2) synthesis, X-ray structures, spectroscopy, and magnetic properties.

TL;DR: The synthesis, X-ray structure, and magnetic and spectroscopic properties of the trinuclear complexes with strong antiferromagnetic interaction are described, and solid state EPR spectra of the three complexes recorded at liquid N temperature show axial signals.
