TL;DR: In this article, a 677C→T mutation in the MTHFR gene has been associated with elevated homocysteine concentrations in homozygous (+/+) individuals, resulting in an odds ratio of 1.21 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.87 to 1.68), relative to the (−/−) genotype.
