Magnitude and Frequency of Forces in Geomorphic Processes
M. Gordon Wolman,John P. Miller +1 more
TL;DR: The relative importance in geomorphic processes of extreme or catastrophic events and more frequent events of smaller magnitude can be measured in terms of the relative amounts of "work" done on the landscape and the formation of specific features of the landscape as discussed by the authors.

Fluvial Processes in Geomorphology
TL;DR: Fluvial processes in geomorphology, Fluvial Processes in Geomorphology as discussed by the authors, fluvial processes and geomorphological processes in the field of geology.
OtherDOI
Ephemeral streams; hydraulic factors and their relation to the drainage net
TL;DR: In this article, a preliminary quantitative description of flow characteristics, channel properties, and configuration of the drainage basin is given, along with an analysis of drainage-basin configuration by the methods proposed by Horton, in conjunction with a generalized interrelation of stream order and hydraulic variables.
ReportDOI
A postglacial chronology for some alluvial valleys in Wyoming
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied alluvial terraces along streams and large tributaries of the Bighorn Range in eastern Wyoming, and found that the terrace sequence is very similar to that suggested by various workers in the southwestern United States.
