Equilibrium and kinetic studies in adsorption of heavy metals using biosorbent: a summary of recent studies.

TL;DR: Distinctive adsorption equilibria and kinetic models are of extensive use in explaining the biosorption of heavy metals, denoting the need to highlight and summarize their essential issues, which is the main purpose of this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of cassava peel waste as lowcost biosorbent for Ni-sorption : equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics and mechanism

TL;DR: In this paper, the feasibility of cassava peel waste for Ni-sorption is evaluated and compared with several temperature dependence forms of isotherm models e.g. Langmuir, Freundlich, Sips and Toth to represent the adsorption equilibrium data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sequestering of Cu(II) from aqueous solution using cassava peel (Manihot esculenta)

TL;DR: The ability of cassava peel to remove Cu(II) from aqueous solution was evaluated and thermodynamic variables showed that the process was spontaneous (DeltaG<0), endothermic (DeltaH>0) and irreversible (DeltaS>0).
